Day 8 - Should I be inflating?

Postby Ineedaworkingdick » Tue Dec 24, 2019 3:42 am

Hi Guys,

I've seen lots of different approaches being posted here by people who clearly have doctors with relatively varied ideas on how to execute recovery.

I'm currently deflated and on Day 8 and the doc has said not to do anything until week 6 when I see him again. Does this sound correct to you?

I've been shown how to deflate and so am sure inflating will be no problem for me; recovery is going well so I could do this myself? I'm worried about waiting and seeing greater lengthening as a result of his perhaps cautious approach.

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Regards

I would take our Dr advise. I was also told not to inflate until my 4 week follow up

Each doctor and each patient is a whole different world. What I have deduced by the different approaches, practices and protolcols, is that despite all of them, they all appear to end with very similar (if not the same) results. Being like me a scientist man, and knowing how scientific method works, I would say that these protocols are a kind of placebo. It doesn't mind how you do the rehabilitation. As long as you don't damage yourself (pain will guide you in not doing that), the fact that you begin sooner or later in the process of cycling doesn't have any impact on the overall recovery. So follow your dr instructions and everything will go well.

Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.

Follow your doctor’s advice. They know the specific details of your surgery. You should be asking your doctor this question. If they agree that you are doing really well, they will say go ahead. Ask them. This surgery is too important and very delicate. Be patient until your doc gives you the green light.

Six weeks is a long time the scar tissue will have formed in the Pseudo capsule and any hope of stretching it will diminish greatly. If you were left inflated then I would not be worried about the scar tissue. On the other hand six weeks of a raging hard on would be painful. I started cycling on day three it hurt but that was what my doctor tells his patients. I’ve not had any issues and started sex on day 20. I can’t see any benefits from waiting for 6 weeks. I do think that Dr. Eid is correct in saying if it hurts to much then don’t pump quite as hard or if it is too painful you don’t have to leave it inflated for 30 minutes try fifteen and work your way up to 30 minutes. It’s worked fine for me and his other patients.

I currently do not an implant but saw your post and thought I would respond. I am scheduled for implant on Janaury 9th. My doctor has already told me that he would not send me home with implant inflated. He is the doctor and I am the patient. So, I have already accepted fact he will start my inflation at a later date. I think this is just up to the surgeon and how they practice. best of luck to you!

If you have 20 different doctors, and polled them, you would probably come up with 50 different post surgery courses of action based upon what they installed, how they installed it, and complications presented by the person into whom it was installed.

I’m scheduled to turn bionic in one week. Omg a week! Where’s the fainting couch?

Seriously, though, I was told by my doc to wear sweatpants for cover and concealment....that I would go home about lunchtime around 75% inflated and with a drain. That’s on the 31st. I’m to be at his office first thing the morning of the 2nd to get the drain taken out, the catheter too assuming I have one...to let him admire his handiwork and to bring me down to 30-35% or so. Which is where I’ll stay for two weeks, because I’m supposed to learn to drive it and cycle beginning on day 15.

The doc appears unconfused. Me? Maybe a little perplexed. I think I’ll do what he says, when he says it, and see what happens. That methodology worked well in the Army at basic training.

Like a prior poster, I have a science/engineering background, so I am not going to stress about a doctor specifying the variables as long as we are both confident in the outcome. I’ve never had implant surgery (duh) nor have I performed it so I’m going to defer to the doc’s expertise.
Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.
