He asked, if a person uses trimix for a period of time and then stops . Will stopping trimix cause any issues with your ability for natural erections? He still uses viagra but is thinking about getting on trimix.

In this scenario, trimix is being used as a performance enhancer only.

No, trimix will not cause any issues. But the one thing you have to remember is to switch sides of injection sites.
Your Dr. will tell you that injection is at 2 (or 3) o'clock on your dick, squeezing top and bttm together.

I was on it since they started mixing it up. When my VL was officially diagnosed (but mercifully not announced in the Wall Street Journal) all we had was bimix. No Caverject (or Edex) to give you achy dick (or painful pecker if you live down south).

It shouldn’t create lasting problems. Everyone gives it up eventually. In my case, when I got an implant. No more chance of a lasting issue or problem from Trimix than smoking 2 packs of non filter Camel cigarettes daily.

That’s the problem. All the current injectable ED medications have the potential to cause fibrosis, scarring, and Peyronies. Just like smoking cigarettes is known to cause lung cancer and a host of other ailments.

Like smoking, the risk from Trimix is dose related. You probably won’t get lung cancer from smoking one time. A person probably won’t get Peyronies from one shot of Trimix. And everybody is different. I took injections for 30 years and the doc who did my implant said there was some scarring but no real plaque or curvature for him to deal with. Others get a full blown, serious curvature within a few years of use.

If you’re impotent, it can be worth taking the risk of Trimix injections. But if not, taking an injection which might contribute to Peyronies does not pass the common sense test. That falls into the category of recreational use by an individual who doesn’t need the drug, and IMHO could be called borderline stupidity.

Since I used a smoking analogy, I was reminded of the first time I slept with a female college professor back when I was an undergrad, working on my first degree. My English prof lived in the same apartment complex as me. I’m still not sure who seduced whom but we ended up in bed. I asked her if she smoked after intercourse to which she replied “I don’t know....I never looked.”
