Classic pump blowing up!

A little bit of a change since my last post last week. I woke up Thursday morning, 1-2-20, and my penis was aching and when I went to see if I could deflate it some, it inflates to a semi by itself, the pump bulb had swollen to twice it's normal size. Ping Pong Ball! (I have a Triton with the Classic Pump) It felt as if there was a bulb within a bulb. I was kinda scared so I called the Dr's. office and was told to go to the ER at Tampa General Hospital were the surgery was done and ask for Dr. Jacobs the on duty urologist in my Dr's. group. It's an hour and a half drive from where I live and it was very uncomfortable. I waited almost 3 hours at the ER to see the Doc and two Doc's from the urology group came in. After checking it out they said that neither had seen this before. They walked out in the hall and called Dr. Carrion to see what he thought and he told them he'd never seen this before either. He suspected it was a ???????(Sorry I don't remember what they said some kind of Disconnect yadayada) and to release me and he'd see me in his office in 4 to 5 weeks.
Well here I am January 5th and every ½ hour I'm squeezing the fluid out of what I believe to be the outer casing of the pump bulb. I'm sore and afraid to inflate because when the bulb swells, even after I get as much fluid out of the otter casing,it's very difficult to find the release pads on the Classic.
I'm sore and I'm pissed. None of them including Dr.Carrion ever saw this before but, I'm going to have to wait 4 to 5 weeks to see Dr. Carrion and get a scan to see if they can figure what it is. Didn't even say anything about contacting Coloplast to see what they thought.
Has anyone had this problem and what do you think I should I do?

Wow - that’s f#cked up!! The pump is one thing - but the doctor and groups response is beyond comprehension

You asked what I would do. I’ve had all afternoon to think it over.

I would head to his office first thing in the morning with no appointment. Any time doctors say “ we don’t know what this is” the issue should be treated as an emergency until proven otherwise.

One thing the doctor probably doesn’t wAnt is a guy he has previously treated in his office with no appointment, but with ample opportunity to express dissatisfaction that his medical emergency is not receiving a reasonable degree of care.

You don’t have to go in and raise hell, at least not initially. Just share your valid expectations (this is a situation unknown to the doctors and must be treated as s. Emergency until diagnosed) and suggest to the staff he needs to work you in. Be patient but don’t take no for an answer. Treat this pump as something that blew up because there’s something infectious wrong with it. You don’t need to be using the pump to inflate or deflate until it’s determined you are not st risk leaving it in your body.

It’s easy to tell you no over the phone. It’s much more difficult if you’re there in person and other patients can see shoddy customer service first hand.

And if the doctor gets mad and tells you to find a new doctor....after this. I’m not sure you e lost anything.

Please post that your going first thing in the. Or I gotta to your Drs office. Demand to see the Dr. have him contact the company to find an answer while your in his office,

Aside from th chance they may have an answer, they should be made aware of the situation for their future reference,.

And take notes on every contact you have. Take names and every time you hang up, thank the person BY NAME and kindly, even if they were no help. They spent their time and you need them as allies, not as obstructions.

You never know where help will come from. I was notified of a newly assigned surgeon expert in the field of implants by someone with no requirement to contact me. Just because I had told her my reasons for wanting to switch venues. The travel coordinator happened to hear of this surgeon and called me.

I am told that people love to hear others speak their names. I don't know the psychology behind that, but knowing they are recognized does make a person feel good. I heard of one greeting (I forget what society it was in) where it is considered respectful to say, "I see you." Just knowing a person knows my name makes me feel honored. Then there is this: If you remember their name, they know you might mention it to their supervisor - for good or ill.

Always try to mention to a person's supervisor when they have done their job well and helped you - unless they broke rules to do it.
