I'll stand by my statement, the Titan may feel "good enough" for you and you keep haggling me in this point, I heard you the first time please stop contradicting me every time I bring it up. Feeling good enough is not the same as feeling natural, Im single and don't want partners to be able to notice it, and they do, almost every time

The simple fact is it does not feel normal, very much so when deflated, and most of my partners can feel something is unnatural right away when hard too, I'm really unhappy with the Titan cylinders and would continue to point people away from the Titan unless absolutely necessary because of size

But having serious PD the ams is just not going to have any fight again plaque that bends the penis 95 degrees. I am post op 10 days. I have a titan and a shorter penis from the PD. As mention it is loosing up as I am at different levels of firmness. I am deflated. Pd destroys ones penis. There is no level of partner satisfaction with PD. Especially when you can’t penetrate. I also had a plication so stiff cyclinders are the only way to correct my situation. Knowing all this, every implanter I interviewed suggested the titan. That includes all volume implanters.

It's not supposed to be normal because it isn't. A knee replacement, I have two, are not normal and don't work like a normal knee does, but like the penis implant, IT WORKS NOW! :D , and I'm sure it feels just as good to your partner. I have the Coloplast so I can't speak to the AMS, but I love everything it has done for my dick and sex life. Would you feel the same way about a girl that had breast implants? If anyone questions you just tell them that you have a working dick now and for them to enjoy it. Just a thought.

As to the contention that the AMS cannot stand up to PD plaque, I had a large nickel to quarter sized flat plaque on the dorsal right side of my penis due to PD. I had some very noticeable hourglass effect from this and other scarring in the same area. I also had a discernable up-turn at mid-shaft, though not anywhere as bad as Biker60's was, mine was probably 20-25 degrees.

After my AMS 700 CX was implanted and the doctor did some remodeling, I have virtually no upturn anymore, the flat plaque cannot be found without great difficulty and then it's not really attached to anything as far as I can tell, instead it just hangs out there under the skin. My hourglassing is almost gone. Nobody but I would be able to feel the tiny depression on the right and right dorsal side of my penis.

All in all, my AMS CX as well as some hard work from my doctor, DID overcome almost all of my PD plaque issues. I've regained my entire pre-op length and then some, although my length 25 years ago before PD and ED, was about 1.75" more than my final post-op length as of now. I may never see any of that lost length again, or it may have to wait until my next revision. Since the rear of my cylinders don't go more than 1.25" below the base due to scarring in the corpora (my suspicion), I'm hoping a revision by a high-volume surgeon who can drill out the corpora, will result in a better sized, conservatively oversized AMS (or Titan?). My doctor said I didn't need a Titan because I wasn't girthy or long enough, although my email exchange with Dr. Eid indicates that he would not have used an AMS based on my dimensions, so maybe a Titan is in my future too.

Dead Head

Postby barrylandon » Sun Jan 12, 2020 4:07 pm

Is it true that pumping post-op with any inflatable prosthesis will not affect the glans (head) of the penis, leaving it soft, spongy and without any pleasurable feeling?
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

No, not exactly. There needs to be a little anatomy lesson here.

There are three erectile bodies in the penis. The left corpus cavernosum, the right corpus cavernosum, and the corpus spongiosum, which surrounds the urethra and includes the 'glans penis".

The implants will fully populate the corpus cavernosum on both sides, collectively referred to as "corpora". The corpora do not include the glans penis. They typically go into the back side of the glans, just below the surface at the tip. In my case, the corpora come up to about 0.25" from the tip of my penis.

If you already have good erectile function in the corpus spongiosum, of which the glans is part, that will be unaffected by the implant. If however, you have arterial insufficiency, you may benefit pills such as Cialis or Viagra, or from MUSE (Alprostadil suppository inserted into the urethra) or possibly a topical gel (trimix gel, I think) which will boost blood flow to the spongiosum.

If however, you have venous leak in the spongiosum, I'm not sure what may be able to fix that short of surgery. Venous leak means that you cannot pump enough blood in fast enough because it leaks out as fast as it can be pumped in. It is possible to undergo surgery, I believe it's vein ligation or something like it, to reduce the outflow to a level that can be overcome by arterial inflow. Also, depending on the specific individual's implant method and results, a restricting ring might allow enough blood retention for a solid firm glans.

A ring works to combat venous leakage from the glans.
Can confirm.

i have the titan.

A doctor once wrote on this site that women are satisfied by : "hardness, hardness, hardness, and then girth" (implying that length is not a central issue).

For me, I disagree regarding "there are problems with the titan flacid." For me, based on my experience, it is important to have some sort of bulge in your groin area. I look great in jeans with my titan, so i think the slightly firmer flaccid is actually a big plus (yes, it looks good in jeans !). The bulge for me is just the right amount, it is a bulge that interested females will notice and will be passed over by other uninterested parties.

For me, sex with the titan is great. it is big and it is strong. I have no concerns regarding rough sex and the cylinders being able to handle things (expert implant surgeons have stated that the AMS implants fail often times due to defect developing in the cylinders, in contrast titan failures happen because of defects involving the tubing where it enters the scrotum inflation ball)

For me, the "deal breaker" (or deal maker) was the below diagram:

titan diameter vs LGX diameter picture.jpeg
titan versus ams cylinder diameter

Figure 1 (above) the diameters of various implant cylinders.

I am a guy, and I really wanted a big erect dick for sex, and I am quite happy to have a big flaccid dick. It is true, that mine does not hang as elegantly as Merrix's penis. Usually to get that level of hang, you need at least a 6.5 inch penis. My penis is 6.25 inches so my hang is not perfect (ie, it is angled 5:00 and a little straight) That being said, I am proud to be "hung" , albeit NOT "well-hung", but importantly I would be proud to strut through the locker room with my thick titan (though that sort of strutting is not something I do)

My in-a-nutshell opinion is that "I got the implant for super sex and a great erection" I did not "get the implant to have a great flaccid", so the issues with krinkles, wrinkles, feeling folds, flaccid sticks out some are small potato issues compared with the joys of having a beast of a sex machine.

But no implant is perfect. It's only a means to an end but no where near the same as a natural penis.

I have tubes running down both sides of my penis under the skin at the base. I can even feel the tubing quick fasteners on the left side for the reservoir and left cylinder. The right one, not so much.

Do I have issues that I wish weren't there? Yes.

Do I regret getting the surgery? No because it works and is better than the alternative.

Do I look forward to correcting any issues I have, assuming they could be corrected? OF COURSE, YES

All perfect and fine, TANGERINE. Bravo!
I think the same. also about defects in the titan tubes.
