Trimix not working as well as it used to-suggestions?

Guys, I have been using Trimix for many years and over the last year or so it is not working nearly as well as it used to. I am having to use MUCH higher doses for it to be effective. My current mix is as follows-Papaverine 18mg/Phentolamine 0.6mg/PGE-1 6mcg.

Can I get some suggestions as to what I should change my medication to? For whatever it's worth, my current pharmacy is Talon. Thanks in advance!

I've been injecting Trimix for about seven months. I have written off my "misfires" to hitting the wrong place (like a vein/blood vessel) and all the juice going into my blood stream. And, I know that the syringes with my frozen dose which are past the expiration date, can explain a drop off in efficiency.

Yet, many others have posted about the long term effects you are experiencing. I'm a student of the male erection. I continue to learn about the physical, mental, psychological, and emotional contributions to achieving an erection. When Trimix injections fail to result in a firm erection, after many years of successful erections with the injections -- is the male body finally at point where blood just won't flow into the penis?

Thankfully, the implant gives us one more chance to avoid celibacy and provide for the intimacy we crave.

That is a very low mix you have there. From what I've read here, it does lose effectiveness after some time, so you will need to increase your dose. However, increasing the mix will keep the doses down, and the cost to you. It's a journey, that's for sure.

You're currently on what appears to be a starter mix. Whatever Talon's next step up would probably work or if custom whatever your uro recommends.

Very good question.
I too am going thru a similar issue.
My first year I probably had a starter dose of between .5-.7. It worked well and I was pleased with the results. My second year I have had to make increases and I am now up to .13 with varied results. I have always kept my Rx frozen so I don't think this is an issue. I wonder if my body has gotten acclimated to the trimix and I need something different. I really hate having to adjust dosages and it can sometime have a psychological impact on my thinking when the dose is not working very well.
I have a annual appointment in May so I'll bring this up to my urologist and hopefully he can give some some answers.

Why don't you put in a call and ask the doctor to increase the strength of your mix. Or talk to your pharmacy, sometimes they will put in the call for you. No need to wait until May. Your doctor very likely won't require a face to face.

That's a low one. Mine for example is 120/30/20! If I were you I ask for increase to 40/30/10.

Have a look at the "Documents Worth Reading List" (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9266). There are examples of common mixes and links to some PDFs that help explain mixes.

If I'm understanding you correctly on your current mix, I'd call it a medium or slightly lower medium mix, with the exception of the 5mg, assuming that represents the Phentolamine. That would be high for that ingredient.

Thanks guys for info when I first started using trimix it was better than great worked like I was 20 again, next question is there any side effects like getting this stuff in your blood stream like your organs thanks again
