Hello Guys/Gals
Long time reader/first time posting. I have battled with ED since Feb 2012. Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes back in 2013 and never had an issue with ED till one day back in 2012. Just one day I wasn't able to get an erection, no signs or any indicators that there was a problem. Went to the doc, ran tests over there years and it was chalked up that the cause of my ED was due to diabetes. Tried pills, didn't work, but Trimix did. Over time Tri stopped working, but as the effects of Tri stopped working, I am noticing that some normal functionality to get an erection is returning. I haven't been to the doctors since I have noticed this change.
I was jelqing back around 2012 a lot, so I don't know if that contributed to my ED, as well. Stopped after sudden onset of ED.
Question is: what could be causing normal erections to potentially return? My diet has always been bad, not the most physically fit, but I have lost some weight. Down to 197lbs from 210ish. 5'9"
Just would love to hear anyone's thoughts or ideas about this.

Losing some weight may have helped, but i am not a doctor so hard to say. Have you had any other changes to medications you take that aren’t related to ED? For example, drugs for high blood pressure may alter erections.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Pellis ....
Can you go a little further in describing a "slightly working" penis? I'm somewhat in the same boat, my ED issues are a direct result of prostatectomy in Oct 2018. I am experiencing a little morning wood, and some EF returning when sexually aroused. I want to understand more about the wiring between brain, nerves damaged during surgery, and response by the penis (erection, partial or more). Does libido (the brain) play a larger role in the equation than most believe?
Also, you mention jelqing -- have you completely ceased "manual" stimulation. I can't seem to go more than a few hours without doing a little touching and stroking to see the response. The activity keeps me in tune with my mental and physical components.
Finally, I am a Trimix user and love the results -- but hear others talk about diminishing response to injections. How did that play out for you?
Thanks....

Improve your diet. You know you should do this or you would not have mentioned it. Your body cannot perform optimally eating improperly.
Bad diet is a habit, and habits can be broken in 21 days. Get on with it; stop looking for an easy way out. There isn't one.
Losing weight is an excellent start. Maintain your weight or slowly lose more excess pounds; about 1 pound per week is healthy and sustainable.
It's been demonstrated that a really good diet can end a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis. Investigate this. Diabetes ruins so many things in the human body and will shorten your life.
Have you had your Free Testosterone checked? If not, do so.
And finally, go see a qualified urologist who specializes in treating ED. All the best advice on this forum is no substitute for this.

In the past, I could look at a female or porn, or whatever you find that would turn you on and there would be no stimulation to my penis. Within the past 6 months or so, I have been able to either get a slight erection or more. Definitely not 100%, but better than nothing at all. Since it has been so long for me to experience anything like this naturally, I feel like I am 15/16 yrs old again, lol. It just a random feeling and noticing that blood is rushing to my penis and I am able somewhat get an erection.
It does seem if I calm down and focus more, it does seem that I am able to get a greater erection. So, I feel the brain plays a major role in this process too, which has been proven over time.
I stopped jelqing completely after my ED kicked in. Trimix only helps a lil bit now, but seemed to work for a few years before getting diminished results. I am on Super Tri and have tried Quad. Quad for me was a waste of money b/c it didn't help at all. I don't remember the dose for the Quad, but Super seems to work better for my body.

You are 100% right about what you eat having an affect on your body. I have been on/off keto for a while and will lose weight. I find myself eating more when I am on keto to make up for the lack of junk food that I normally eat. It frustrating but something that I have to work towards maintaining and changing my lifestyle.
I haven't had my T checked in a while, but when I did have it checked, it was low and I started taking T injections.

pellis0383,
For years, I used to eat more than I do now and had a difficult time keeping my weight under control.
A few years ago, I had a full set of labs run on me and found that my thyroid hormone was lower than normal. I was subsequently placed on a thyroid supplement and my appetite sort of disappeared.
Also about this time, on the advice of my wife, who has read many millions of words on nutrition and health maintenance, I gave up almost all sources of sugar, white flour, and high fructose corn syrup. I still have a sweet tooth; I satisfy it with honey, which is approximately 40% fructose and 30% glucose. I do not gain weight eating honey.
Today, I'm 15-20 pounds lighter, I have more energy than I used to, I have to remember to eat at all, since I almost never get hungry. I am seeing wrinkles in the skin on my stomach where there used to be fat, and I am in reasonably good health for a guy in his 70's.
I also take digestive supplements. These food supplements contain digestive enzymes that enable people to better digest and absorb food. Many people eat too much food, trying to get the nutrients they need, especially as they age. But if your body is obtaining the nutrients it needs from less food consumed, that means less calories ingested.
I hope something I've said helps.

Levitra is very popular among diabetes patients but I've never tried it. Healthy diet and regular exercise are a must.
Age 40. Psychogenic ED for over 20 years. Current regimen: Udenafil 200 mg, oral phentolamine mesylate 40 mg, Seredyn.
