Almost 4 weeks post surgery

Today I texted Dr Kramer pics of my incision and inflated penis. He gave me the “all clear” for any physical activity, especially intercourse! Also said I am still healing, so I should be able to pump up more fully without pain as time goes by (no surprise to those of us who have been reading this forum). Stitches have not yet fully dissolved; Dr Kramer said they will dissolve in time.

I am getting the hang of inflating and deflating. Penis size is almost what it was before surgery, so I’m happy with that. I still have a little numbness after cycling; slowly getting better.

I am grateful for an excellent outcome. I was nervous before taking the plunge, as many of us on the forum have been.

My advice:

— pick a good surgeon, especially one who you feel comfortable talking to and who is readily available for advice both before and after surgery
— follow doctors orders; he knows your specific situation
— be patient; lots of healing to do after surgery, and it takes time.

Thank you VERY much for that update.

31 hours until I report to the OR. It was what I needed to hear.

I am looking down the road a month to where you are today.

By my birthday (7 weeks) I ought to find a whole different version of the ubiquitous birthday sex which, in recent years, has been a cross between a train wreck and the sinking of the Bismarck.

By the time my Cayman trip rolls around in March , think of James Brown’s (the hardest working man in show business) “Sex Machine.”

Continued healing and good luck. I’m ready to get the show on the road.

Day 30

Started to up my exercise yesterday. I didn’t have a jock strap in my gym locker, so I wore my David Archy underwear. Apparently not enough support for the family jewels. This morning I noticed some redness on my incision. This evening it was worse. Took a photo and texted Dr Kramer. I thought it might be the start of an infection. He texted me back; said not to worry, incision looks irritated, not infected; rest for a day or two. Fingers crossed.

Although I swear by the 2-pouch underwear by David Archy and Separatec, I have found during the healing of my incision, the lower edge of the porthole did tend to cause some irritation to my incision on my scrotum.

If your David Archy underwear is the 2-pouch variety, it may cause a little pain in the healing incision. If you're using the single-pouch variety though, it is probably just the activity causing things to rub together.

I bought my first Separatec and David Archy underwear within a week of surgery so I was in no way healed even a little bit when I started wearing. I even still had my stitches and the incision wept on the porthole a bit early on.

Day 42.

NOT an infection. After numerous photos texted to Dr Kramer and an in-person visit to a local doc (who trained with Kramer), we decided that I had a reaction to the dissolvable sutures. I have been covering the inflamed incision with a bandage to keep it from rubbing on my clothes, with some Bacitracin just to be ultra careful. Almost completely healed now; sutures have almost all dissolved now. The healing took longer than I would have liked. Unfortunately this delayed our first post-op intercourse.

My penis is still a bit sensitive; it’s a little uncomfortable when rubbing on clothing. David Archy underwear and looser-than-usual pants have helped. I have started to wear blue jeans again, although a slightly looser pair than usual. Otherwise all else is good.

Apparently my body doesn't like the suture material and developed some localized inflammation with some opening of the incision site and drainage. Also, I had some skin peeling almost like with a sunburn that occurred. Dr. Kramer has been great with seeing me and responding to email, although we thought we were home free at week 4, everything looked great. The implant is fine, all superficial. Patience is the key

Hey BmorePaul.

I am about 4.5 weeks. My scrotal incision was healing well.. Today I noticed a little black spot on the incision. I squeezed it and a little pus and drainage came out. That bothered me. When looking closer, I noticed the little black spot was actually part of the dissovable suture. it was still in there. I decided again't pull on it.

Was that something similar to you?

Does Dr Kramer perform a scrotoplasty only if needed or does he do it upon request?
My understanding is that a scrotoplasty gives it a better cosmetic appearance?

I requested my scrotoplasty. I’m not sure if Kramer would have done it if I hadn’t asked for it. Yes, it’s a cosmetic procedure.

I had the same thing done during the implant surgery, my Dr. recommended it, it does look better and longer without that skin going half way up my shaft. What the hell, just a few more stiches! :D
