My mojo is back!

Postby Jack317 » Thu Feb 06, 2020 11:56 pm

Implanted with an AMS 700 on December 26, 2019 by Dr. Jonathan Warner out of City of Hope Hospital Glendora CA. Finally feeling all healed up and am cycling daily.

Holy shit I am a new man! I cannot even believe how much I love having this. Even though I have definitely lost size probably a combination of the prostate surgery and lack of use, I love the feeling of a full dick in my pants (no more Mr Turtle thank God) and the knowledge that although I am not John Holmes, I can bang anyone I want anytime I want, with no special preparation. A few squeezes and it's on. Haven't used it yet but I am on the hunt. I am cruising the dating sights and even a few hookup sites (seem to be all duds) and heavy on the prowl. I think the first chick I end up with is going to be like losing my virginity all over again. But not as sticky.

Went to a Superbowl Party last week and a couple young flight attendants sat down at our table. Don't you know an hour later I was taking down the phone number of one and planning to see her in a week or so when she comes back to LA. I believe if she wasn't with her friends and I would have ended up with her that night as we really hit it off in a clearly sexual way. For the last several years whenever I started thinking this was going to happen, my first thought was "shit I don't have a Caverject with me, or "how am I going to explain i need to do an injection". It was a real mood killer and made me less than aggressive I would almost be relieved when it didn't happen. Not this week MFrs. I was full on Romeo and so horny I felt like I was 20. I was moving and grooving like I haven't for a long time and damn it felt GOOD to have that confidence.

Wish I had done this 5 years ago. If you are thinking of getting an implant, I say go for it.

What is up with this lost size seems thats included in 95%of the i have an implant threads. Could it be doctors are men and generally feel better in loose pants .do you think the doctors say i can spend hours trying to stuff this in or just use a smaller implant?

Who are "the doctors" ? They're not all the same, you know. They're actually not all equals, as your question implies. Every doctor does not have the same clinical skill set or body of knowledge and experience as every other doctor. If you asked my world class urologic surgeon to catheterize your coronary artery blockage you would be extremely ill-advised in doing so and you would be (in the unlikely event you survived) horrified by the ultimate result.

There's a quote attributed to Albert Einstein:
“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

No, doctors who have deep experience with implantation do not say or think such a thing as they don't want to "spend hours trying to stuff this in". Note that I said...doctors with deep experience implanting. I didn't say "surgeons who have done very few" or "surgeons who casually dabble". No, world class implant surgeons are not selecting implant cylinders and mechanically modeling dicks based on "loose pants".

Patients with marked, persistent decreases in penis size after implantation typically and unfortunately (mostly) chose an inexperienced surgeon. The more inexperienced a penile surgeon is, the more fearful they may be of making the cylinders too long and causing erosion of the distal tip into the urethral meatus. So they hedge their bets and undersize the implant.

Aside from surgeon experience, there is also underlying physiology and anatomy at play behind your question.

There are other contributing factors, since, just as every surgeon is not the same, big surprise, not every patient is the same. Peyronies, diabetes, prior prostate surgeries...these all contribute to challenges with maintenance of penis size.

It's like anything else - seek out the best, most demonstrably proven surgeon, and give yourself the best opportunity for the best experience (including sizing) afterward.

Nice post Stephen.
Very easy to read and informative.

I believe most guys who lose size had the pre-existing issues you mentioned.
I had none and lost none.

Of coarse he has lost size right now. It needs to stretch back out. He had all his nerves removed in an RP, 6 years ago. It will come back with cycling. Hell I had my implant as soon as I got the news that my nerves were destroyed, 9 months after RP. I had my full length right out of surgery. His dick probably was a little turtle for 6 years. Jack, how big were you before rp and what size implant did you get?

In my case I believe the lost size was a combination of the prostate surgery ( I have heard most guys lose an inch) and the fact I let it hang limp too long without pumping it up or injecting often enough. The old "use it or lose it" syndrome. I can feel the ends of the tubes at the tip of my dick though so don't believe he could have made it any longer. As I stated I was average size before PC so the combo of what I stated was a double whammy. Which is the other reason I wish I had done this a long time ago. Either way it is plenty long enough to do the deed and it seems like the girth is actually a little bigger. I will make it work just fine. Dr Warner did talk about size and indicated he would go as big as he could so it wasn't an afterthought for him. I would not hesitate recommending him.

My only issue is when it is filled up it still points down a bit a little lower than 90 degrees used to point upward more. If I pull up with my finger and push my balls back it looks much bigger. So I guess when I am balls deep I'm thinking it will do the trick. Can't wait to do some research.

Not to mention that, among patients, selective memory (of youthful size) can lead to feelings of (unwarranted) disappointment.

I was implanted by Dr. Eid on January 21st. With all of the swelling in my lower abdomen, I thought I had lost an inch or so.

At 2-1/2 weeks after surgery, I was shown I have actually gained 1/2 inch in length. Dr. Eid said he was "aggressive in sizing." It's a Titan, so my girth is increased.

My insurance picked up the tab for appointments and surgery. The travel to and from NYC was bothersome and expensive. The surgery hurt for a few days. The anxiety was pretty intense. I had minimal bruising (a faint mark near the reservoir). Make sure you ice, ice, baby.

I had stitches removed on Thursday (15 days post-op), and was given the green light to kick the tires (to quote Dr. Eid, "...share this with humanity!"). The wife and I did exactly that this morning (17 days post-op). Wow! My mojo is back stronger than it has been in more than 20 years of progressive ED, with not the least concern whether I can get the task completed. I did, and we kept going...

The out-of-pocket expense, pain, and days of travel are all worth it. My confidence has been restored. I am a very happy patient, my wife is happy, too.

As stephen54 said, "... seek out the best ... give yourself the best opportunity ..." for the best results. I am very confident that I chose wisely.

I did my research, mostly here on FrankTalk. There were 3 or 4 of the best implant urologists I considered, and when I called his office I was able to schedule an evaluation within a month with Dr. Eid.
