From time to time when I inject the needle hits something pretty solid. I have to pull out and try a different spot. What part of the anatomy am I hitting? I'd like to find it on a schematic drawing so that I can figure out where to avoid. I inject about 1 1/2 inches from the base of the penis.
Thanks

The perfect design of a man's penis provides that very essential (and favorite) body part with a tough exterior. IJS
Born 1948, wed 1969. BPH & Type II Diabetes at age 35. TURP-2002; ED even before that--diabetes. Cardiac valve surgery: 2007 & 2019. Poor results with pills. Started trimix injections in Nov, 2010. Great results from the very beginning.
Re: What stops the needle from going in?
I developed scarring on both sides of my penis from injecting Trimix! It developed fairly quickly. It felt like little hard places on both sides. A needle would not go through the scarring. If you think you are injecting in the right places I would see my urologist immediately. I only used trimix four years until I got an implant. It got to the point that it was very difficult to find a place to inject because the scarring covered so much of both sides of my penis. I don’t mean to scare you but I would see my urologist immediately. Also, I also developed a slight curvature to the left o& my penis which was as straight as a stick when I started injecting Trimix. I confirmed both of these findings with my urologist.I was never advised of the risks of injecting Trimix and in fact never heard of any of this until I sought the help of my urologist trying to find out what was happening to my penis.
66 yr old male married 36 yrs use trimix four yrs, cilais and Viagra. trimix work well developed scarring on both sides had implant 1/9/2020 at UT Med Ctr, Knoxville, TN Dr. John Lacy.
Re: What stops the needle from going in?
In my case I doubt that it is due to scarring. I discovered this problem when I first started injecting. I think there must me something in the structure of the penis.

Re: What stops the needle from going in?
Scaring and fibrosis, when present, is not always caused by injections. It is my understanding that along with injury the simple lack of erections can be the cause.

The cavernosa, where we injection guys want to deliver our medication, is sheathed by the tunica albuginea. It is fibrous and, as I understand it, tougher in some guys than in others.
I always get a little bit of resistance and a bit of pain when the needle penetrates the tunica. It's not horrendous pain, but it lets me know it's there.

Once a writer: That's probably it as I don't get the resistance everywhere.

What gauge needle are you using? Thicker one (29 Ga) helps plunge thru for me. There is no "schematic" of where to inject! Google it and you will find the "basic" places to avoid, like veins.
You can find the anatomy of the Penis in many places on the web as well as videos on youtube on proper injection techniques.
Use Super Quadmix due to severe Venous leak.Have a GREAT DAY!

NeedleD- I use 30gauge. Been injecting since 2016. I've viewed many schematic, etc. but never could find what might be an obstruction. Same with videos.

Re: What stops the needle from going in?
Minimize scarring by pulling the penis to its full flaccid length before injection because scar tissue forms along the needle path. This way you intercept less tissue. I use 31 gauge 5/16 inch (8mm) needle; I think thinner needle must produce less scar tissue. When there's no resistance to plunger travel you are in the corpus cavernosa. If there's significant pain or resistance to insertion or plunger travel I pull out and pick another spot. I imagine five "zones" along my length, write down what zone I inject, and go to a different zone the next time. I allow 15 or so seconds for injection and then squeeze the penis a few times to get some Trimix to the other side; I end up pretty straight.
