IM IN FULL FREAK OUT MODE AND HEARTBROKEN
So this morning i pumped up my ams700 to full then next time i touch my penis 30 seconds later it was very soft
i thought maybe i bumped the deflate button but no the device has failed pump bulb staying depressed i can still click the valve and hear the popping sound
so i must have a massive leak and my ball sack looks completely full
i called the doc explained what happened and have an appointment tomorrow morning so obviously a revision is needed this was only put in as of August of 2018 less than 2 years and already failed very disappointed!!!!
this implant was a marriage saver for me and cant live without it on top on basic insurance which doesn't cover the device
my head it about to explode and don't know how to break the bad news to my wife as it was also expensive
worst day of my life

Re: worst day of my life
Sorry, re-read your message again and understand better what you're saying - yes, it sounds like a leak if your scrotum filled up with saline. Hopefully the doctor can salvage the implant and fix the leak. Good luck!
Original response:
Common issue. You apparently pressed the deflate button while squeezing the bulb at some point which jams the valve.
Squeeze the block "End-to-End" and the bulb should refill. Then press the DEFLATE button. Then squeeze the bulb and it should inflate.

If is a device failure, the guarantee should cover it.
It's been only two years, and guarantee is 20 years.

Re: worst day of my life
Jamie,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay focused on the next step to get this resolved, whether that be gathering the funds somehow or just brainstorming how you’re going to get this fixed. Please stay focused, I’d say positive but I completely understand the feeling you would be feeling at the moment. That’s why I encourage you to just make a plan and start moving in that direction.
The world isn’t over, you’re still alive and there is still hope.
Cheers

Sorry to hear this. The implant is still under warranty I think. Was your installed unit preassembled or did the doc do the connections? If you don't know, get hold of the AMS rep and find out. AMS has the serial# of every implant installed. May be a bad job of connecting the tubes by the doc. In that case you have a case for him doing a do over free. Let us know after dr visit.

Sorry to hear this. I would like to tell you to calm down, but doubt I would be calm under those circumstances. My prayers are with you that it can be easily resolved. Keep us informed after you see your doctor. If you get any sense he is trying not to take ownership of something that could have been his fault, get a second opinion from a doctor with nothing at stake. Best wishes.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

What a pain in the ass.
I've always worried about connections that aren't pre-assembled at the factory.
I'd guess the pump to reservoir tube probably needs to be connected by the doc?
There needs to be at least connection made post-implant to fill the system with saline.
Is it just my impression or does it seem surgeons like to work very fast, sometimes too fast?

My understanding is that AMS devices are pre-assembled at the factory.
The good news is that, the leak is very very likely in the scrotum, thus pulling the reservoir or implant may not be necessary, and even if it is, revisions are very commonly a lot easier on the patient than the first implant.
Best case scenario is that a connection failed, is easily identified and remediated. Second best is that the pump or pump bulb developed leak and the pump can be disconnected and replaced. Worst case scenario is that the entire implant needs to be replaced. But that will not be as bad as the virgin implant was.
Ask your surgeon how confident he(she) is in finding and fixing the (obviously it is a leak) the leak.

Actually they can come preassembled or as separate pieces as mine did. If you review my surgical notes you can see where the reservoir was placed in my body while they were prepping the cylinders for implantation elsewhere in the OR.
Also, I can feel all three quick connects under the skin, which I believe were also mentioned in the notes.

Re: worst day of my life
LS, would that mean the fluid would already be in the unit?
I really don't think it is since getting a reservoir in place would seem to be a problem.
I'll see if I find anything about this.
