Age, I think, is also a factor. Gravity, over time, causes sag in every part of one's body.

When I was young, my erections would come up and reach almost to my belly.

Now, my belly almost reaches my erections (implant-assisted, but before the implant, when I could get one, this was true as well.)

They both seem to have sagged.

Very good analogy Lost Sheep.
When young, no belly fat, no suprapubic fat, rim of pelvic bones visible and everything looks like great physics, penis is looking straight in the eyes asking for trouble and doesn’t care much for obstacles on the ground.
When penis starts looking at and admiring your shoes that is never good sign.
