Losing weight after implant

Postby ejf110 » Tue Mar 10, 2020 3:13 pm

I’m going to be about a stone heavier (87kg) than usual (80kg) when I have the implant done next month. I’m worried that when I lose the weight and get back to normal that the recession of fat around the waist will expose the reservoir, poking out of the skin.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Although some situations might require a reservoir to be placed in an "other than ideal" location, most of the time they are placed inside the abdomen, between the bladder and the pubic bone. You will most likely have no reason to worry.

efj110,

I'm a pretty skinny guy (only about 155 lbs). I have no idea where my reservoir is.

You really have to be emaciated to see the pump. No worries.
