I think my Titan was installed backwards???
Re: I think my Titan was installed backwards???
Another thought is this DR has put holes for the pressure tubes into the wrong end of his tunica which will be an additional problem after the device is reinstalled properly. He needs the best implant specialist he can find now. The law suite will pay what ever it costs.

Have you shown that latest picture and your very lucid description of being able to feel TWO PAIRS of tubes in your penis out to the far (distal) end?
If not, do it. Do it now.
If you have not done so already, Take names of everyone you talk to.
During, or immediately after, make notes of your conversations, information given and promises made, emails sent and received, etc.
Before hanging up, say "thank you" (and use their name) to everyone you talked with (even if they were no help - they might be in the future and will more likely remember you if they know you remember them). People respond to being remembered. Whether it is because they know they might be called to account for their actions or inactions or because people generally like to be remembered.
On saying "thank you": Even if a person was no help at all, or even obstructive, they gave you their time. And even obstructive people can change their response, especially if they feel appreciated. What you want to do is enlist the aid of everyone you meet; to get them on your side.
Keep your notes in an orderly fashion - in a notebook, in a computer document (properly backed up, of course) or wherever works for you. It may be presented in court and you want it to be persuasive. This is where a demonstratively contemporaneous record is helpful. This also allows you to find their supervisor and give them your thanks after a successful outcome.
This is not overkill. This is minimally prudent.
Edited to add: "What Oldbeek just said."
Thank you first of all. Should Coloplast be my first call?

oldbeek wrote:What city in Illinois. OK guys , who is an experienced implant specialist in his area? He needs to get to an experienced specialist ASAP. He needs to get an experienced implant dr to confirm his findings. If true he needs a lawyer. He should also get a Coloplast rep on the phone and have them assign a case worker to this project. Coloplast needs to name the rep that sold the device to this DR that clearly does not know how to read instructions. IF the device was installed at a teaching hospital, I would be contacting the administration of that hospital immediately also. Everyone involved with this screwup needs to be on board right now.
DesPlaines, Illinois at Uropartners.
Should I just try and get surgical records now? Do I just say I want them or tell them what is going on?
I can try and call Coloplast but will they believe me?
Am I in danger?
Thank you!

I would call Coloplast first. I am sure they will believe you. If they don't talk to a supervisor and go up the chain of command as high as you need. They might not believe you can self-diagnose, but if you are wrong, no problem for them. If you are right and they blew you off, BIG trouble for them, at least customer-relations-wise if not legal-wise. They might want to have someone of their choice examine you. If they do, and especially if they will pay for it, do it.
They have a BIG, HUGE stake in this surgeon's future implants.
If the Patient Liaison (P.L.) was not in the operating room at all, they have almost no liability, so have no reason to be defensive and every reason in the world to be supportive and helpful. If your P.L. has not had the experience of the aftermath of a surgical mistake, I would ask to involve a supervisor, too. No fault of your P.L. but simply because of your concerns/fears of how to fix this and you want Coloplast's best efforts to get this rectified as soon as possible.
I would request surgical records (depending on what the P.L. said be forthcoming or close-mouthed about how much you share with them now at first). Again, be kind and polite to EVERYONE you talk to, but GET THOSE RECORDS. Operating report, everything they have. If you have to tell them something about why, just say you want it for insurance purposes, souvenir or sentimental value. Tell them whatever it takes to get copies of those records.
I know of no particular acute danger. Scar tissue formation might be problematic, so a swift resolution is warranted. Same with shrinkage. If you cannot cycle the implant, you could lose some size, so, again, swift resolution is warranted. I would not worry over this, but quickly move on it. If for no other reason that, the longer you wait, the less it looks like you care enough for them to take you seriously.

...and it goes without saying that you probably don't want to even try to cycle the implant in the condition it's in, for fear of causing more, possibly difficult to repair damage such as erosion through the tunica and side of the penis, or worse: through your urethra by the sharp rear tips.

UROPARTNERS in Chicago has 84 doctors listed. Dr Lawrence Levine is listed as one of them. He is listed as a Center of excellence on the Coloplast physician finder. He is high volume and has done over 1,000 implants. I would call and get an appointment with him ONLY, asap. Lots of younger Drs listed of the 84 working out of Uropartners. Sounds like a BIG pecker mill. ALSO, Added: What Lost sheep, said. Also demand the full surgical report, but don't beat around the bush. Tell them someone screwed up and you want to see Levine for a consult as to if it was installed properly.

Thank you again. What an ordeal. I was going to partially cycle one more time tonight and have my Wife take some further measurements but we can likely do that without. I just need a third hand!

It was not Levine but he was doing someone else there at the same time. We will be going after the report tomorrow.
I did talk to a Woman at Coloplast whose initial reaction was denial until I explained things and answered her questions. She then got quite serious about my situation. Her suggestion was to call my surgeon and make an appointment. Something tells me a "second opinion" first is the way to go???
