IPP Cost

FYI, the hospital full price quote was $39,000 which is ridiculous because I'm going home the same day. Anyway, my United Healthcare insurance covers it and my maximum annual out-of-pocket is $4,000. so that is most I'll pay for entire procedure.

It is hard to understand why they bill so much when they know the insurance company is only going to pay reasonable and customary charges. They will likely only get half or less of that $39k bill.
Age 71. Married 52 years. Location Oregon. PCa at age 56. Open RP surgery and radiation treatment. Oral or injection drugs didn't work. Implanted 10/13/20. Titan Narrow Base 18cm with 1cm left and 1.5cm right rear tip extenders.

My ins. paid Hospital and Dr. $3400 10% of the $34,000 billed, then I paid 10% of that $340 as my co-pay...
