Traveling/Backpacking with implant

Does the implant feel very natural after 6 months or a year that you can backpack around the world alone without any issues? Or do you carry certain things with you because you have an implant and have to be careful about certain things?

From my own experience, no problem at all.
Last year, i spent 20 days traveling thru Europe with my daughter.
We visited Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
I did not need anything special while going backpacking, just minimum Of necesary items needed for 3 weeks. In sumertime, that is not hard at all.

I'm 11 months post-op and the only thing that is different for me is riding a bike. I switched from a road bike to a hybrid and changed the seat a few times. The seat nose pressing on my package felt funny and I didn't want to risk breaking anything.

I became bionic last sept. I just returned from 7 weeks of adventure touring in SE Asia. Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Aside from having a couple different types of underwear, I was extremely active. I walked on average of 10 miles a day, rode bicycles, climbed rocky paths, rode in boats, and did 11 days riding a motorcycle across half of Vietnam on the Ho Chi Min trail. Aside from some adjusting from time to time, I had and have no problems. So pay attention and get out there and go for it. Oh by the way i am 70 so no excuses lol

I have had my implant for 2.5 years. I have traveled a lot and am also very active. I have no issues at all. You didn't mention what you are thinking you might need to have with you. I am curious.

i hike often with my implant, though I don't backpack and stay the night. No issues at all. I also ski, play racquetball, run, walk, etc. No problems.

i would just recommend supportive underwear just in case.

Thanks for the responses everyone! I feel comfortable hearing all the responses. Can you all recommend your favorite supportive underwear which you find very comfortable?

When backpacking, I find more trouble with my waistband than any other part of my underwear. The belt of the backpack gives me more pressure points than I ever find any problems with the rest of my underwear.

It might help with advice if you told us what kind of underwear you usually wear when backpacking and if it is different from your normal daily wear. Your taste in clothes, I think, will have more bearing on your underwear choices than your implant.

You shouldn't have any problems if it was done correct. I have had three implants and after all healed up, I feel about as normal as can be. I hike a lot, and I also walk a lot during hunting seasons. No problems!
