Considering my impatience and wanting to have my revision done quickly before our shut-down ends so I could have a break to heal before we get crazy again at work, the 2 high-volume surgeons that can accommodate me, within the next 2 weeks, are either Dr. Karpman or Dr. Perito. Dr. Perito is $6000 more than Dr. Karpman.
Any advice here?
Dr. Karpman or Dr. Perito??

My AMS 700 LGX failed. In essence, the left cylinder ruptured.

Both are very good. I would go with Karpman. Don't know about travel/ air connections to get there.

Thank you very much for the assistance, advice and guidance.
I firmed my plans to have the revision surgery by Dr. Karpman in 2 weeks. He spent over 30 minutes with me over the phone going through every detail at no charge. After Dr. Karpman reviewed my previous operative notes from the virgin implant and medical history, he seemed a bit concerned about me losing length/shrinkage if I continue keep the failed implant for a longer period of time and he set me as a priority to get it done.
As for the travel arrangement, that is a different story. I need to get to Mountain View 3 days early to get the Covid test by the hospital. The flights are scarce and it'll take me a whole day with 2 connections to get to St. Jose/San Francisco. This used to take a direct 3 hour flight before. The hotels in Mountain View are super expensive even with the current situation. The silver lining is that AMS is covering my implant cost under warranty and that Dr. Karpman's fees are very reasonable.

Best of luck with the upcoming revision surgery. If possible, could you please provide more details about the reason(s) for the failure? My implant is an AMS 700 CX and I am always curious about what the weakest member of the system (cylinders, tubing, reservoir or the pump) is. My surgery was in December 2019 and everything has been fine so far.

Karpman of California did the AMS video. I would go with him and I live in Florida not far from Perito. Both are great.
LGX 18cm+3cmRTE 8 / 8/18 by Docs Saracino , Prody of FL Disfigured by Implant. Married 31 years, Functionally impotent 2+ years. 4" day of surgery now 7" inflated after VED 6.5" without. Pump moved 12/4/18 by Dr Kata

Dr. Christine says in one of his videos that he trained under Karpman. Dr. Christine also shows a trick to stop erosion that Karpman developed. I would likely place Karpman at least equal to Perito if not a little above him. Karpman's cash price is also very competive in my opinion.
