I think my wife is jealous of my implant!?!
Re: I think my wife is jealous of my implant!?!
One more thought on this, you said she told you to find a girlfriend. I know many guys would love to hear that but that isn't me. On the other hand when us guys get ED and can't perform I'm sure there aren't many who would tell their wife, SO or g/f to go find another man for sex.

I cannot count the number of times a girlfriend has told me that something is OK with her and I find out later on that accepting statements like that at face value is a BAD IDEA.
As a man who has successfully avoided being married for 70 years, I now feel qualified to give advice on the institution to anyone.

I think so many of us men are better off and therefore pursue meaningful relationship with one woman. I feel so much anguish in the words of our brothers here who find themselves in relationship with women who won’t respond to their needs.
Marriage is a commitment to sexual monogamy. Relationship includes an understanding of the natural libido and loving purity of one’s partner. How cruel to deny response to a loving advance and a truly desirous and natural need!

Re: I think my wife is jealous of my implant!?!
this thread is so interesting to me personally, since I also have had problems with my wife accepting the implant.
I found an interesting article on this written in Prevention magazine regarding Viagra and marriage and sex. I have pasted an excerpt from the article below, (just substitute the word "implant" for "viagra")
So, I would love to hear more comments from you guys about this issue. Certainly my marriage has been stressed by the unnatural nature of the implant and my wife's concern that she is not the "author of my great erection". Also, she is 60 , so she also has had the issues of painful sex. Though, the estrogen treatment and mona lisa laser vagina rejuvenation treatment worked really well for her, so she is now one again orgasmic, and I do think that she has better orgasms with my implanted dick which I think is a big improvement over my crappy ED dick before surgery.
Moreover, I so remember the statement made by my surgeon which was:
Of course, among the issues of life, you will have marital discord (the usual discord stuff) and the issues of growing old. Personally, however, the inside knowledge that I can get a raging erection and have sex anytime and anyplace makes me so much better able to handle any issue that life sends to me. From a buddhist sense , I feel at peace because I am one of those guys that believes "I fuck, therefore I am"

How Viagra can mess up your marriage
Sure, men are thrilled to have a two-hour erection, but ... are their wives?
Did the makers of Viagra and its cousins, Levitra and Cialis, foresee the side effects — physical and otherwise — that the drugs could cause?
By Judith Newman, Prevention
.....Be careful what you wish for, I think as my husband reaches again for his new toy. Tragically, it's not a Ferrari or the latest Mac laptop — it's his Penis 2.0— ...
..."There is something about a hard erection that is extremely important to a man's identity," says Steven Lamm, MD, an internist in New York City and author of The Hardness Factor. "And of course most couples would prefer that the man be able to have one. But there are some who may have adjusted to life without sex. Perhaps the woman doesn't really want it anymore, for one reason or another. And for those couples, the introduction of an ED drug can throw them seriously out of sync."
That leads to what is perhaps the biggest complicating factor: the reality that a woman's postmenopause genital health can put her physically at odds with her partner's newfound, drug-assisted prowess. As women age, their hormonal balances change. Reduced estrogen levels often mean less sexual desire but also decreased vaginal elasticity and lubrication, and thus more potential for sex to be painful.
The problem can be especially daunting for older women who are widowed or divorced or just beginning to date after years of being alone or with one man. Certainly this was the case for Marjorie P., a 60-something woman who complained about the drugs on a 50+ Web site: "Men have been saved from their middle-age sexual issues by Viagra and Cialis. They can be thirty again, while I have to deal with the sexual issues of being my age. It's put the world on 'tilt.'" Andrea D., a twice-divorced physician from Santa Monica, CA, and an over-50 dater, put it more bluntly. "Viagra has been liberating for men, but unless a woman is taking hormone therapy, she may have vaginal dryness and really not be that interested in the kind of driving, pounding intercourse he's now capable of." ....
...Some women think ED drugs make men amorous and that their presence isn't required. "What a lot of women need to be turned on is the feeling that they're desired," adds Virginia A. Sadock, MD, director of the program in human sexuality at New York University Langone Medical Center. "So with Viagra, they think, Oh, it's not me he wants; it's the Viagra talking. In my practice, I spend a lot of time reassuring them that this isn't the case — and I tell men they must reassure the women too."....

"penile implant surgery is a surgical cure for erectile dysfunction. Having an implant means that a man is "free from worries" about ED, and he is now free to live life concentrating on other issues of life."

Couldn't agree with you more. Our problem as men is we can't figure out the TRUE meaning of what a woman says.
(what she says) Yes honey, you can have a girlfriend. (real meaning) If you do I'll slice your penis off.

In my case, I believe just asking the question would bring about the dick slice response.
The article had me thinking, he could sell the Ferrari, but penis 2.0 not so much.
