Sudden reduction in penile sensitivity

Postby mraakim » Mon Jun 08, 2020 9:06 am

I am experiencing a sudden reduction in overall sensitivity in my penis. Not sure what is the cause.

I actually had a really good period where i had firm and enjoyable erections without the need of any pills. But now all of a sudden, i am experiencing loss of sensation in my penis. I can still get an erection, but the pleasure sensation are reduced, orgasms are not really enjoyable and i have a hard time staying hard during sex.

Don't know what is going on.

Type 2 diabetes can cause neuropathy and a
Big decrease in sensitivity of the penis making it
Difficult to achieve orgasm.

I will get my testosterone and sugar levels checked. I was taking bupropion for a while and maybe that could have an effect. But usually bupropion increases my sex drive and erection quality.

I was also under lot of work related stress before this loss of sensation started to manifest, but that was almost 2 weeks ago. The sensitivity problem is still there, perhaps even a bit worse, now that i am pretty stress free and getting good sleep.

I must say that my erection quality is still the same. I can get an erection but i need a lot more stimulation to keep maintain the erection and most of the times,

I notice that when my E2, estradoil, gets on the high side this can happen.

I will be going to a doctor today. Will ask for a complete hormone levels tests.

There is still no improvement in the penile sensitivity levels. I thought maybe abstaining from sex or masturbation for a week or two may improve the sensitivity but it had no effect. I tried having sex today and it still feels like nothing. I can get an erection but felt like it would go away at any time. Orgasm felt dull and my wife can feel i am avoiding sex not enjoying her touch down there as much as i used to. Not sure whats going on or what i can do to make it better. This has started to give me some real stress and anxiety.
