Franktalk on the iPhone
Franktalk on the iPhone
I was having trouble getting current postings when accessing this site with my iPhone. I just figured out that if I set Safari to "Private Browsing" everything works fine. You just have to enter your username and password each time, which is a bit of a hassle.

Re: Franktalk on the iPhone
The problem isn't limited to the iPhone. The server on this site does not notify browsers about changed page status in accordance with the normal specs. This is not a problem on some browsers, but it is on others. It is a problem on the iPad, and for both Firefox and Safari on the Mac, among others. Wherever this is a problem you need to set your browser to flush its page cache each time you want to get an updated page from FT. Setting safari to "private browsing" is one way to do this, though for the browser world in general, there are other ways.
Its very annoying. Others have noticed. And, I'd guess there are others who are not aware of the issue and just think there is nothing new, when there is.

I have the ssame problem on firefox / Linux. It's a PITA at times when I forget to clear the cache. It would be nice if someone could fix this issue.

I wonder if the Admin. would be willing to activate Tapatalk support. It's free and built-in to phpBB already. I'd love to access the board from my iPhone using Tapatalk...
