Cold penis after implant ?

Postby Pbarkley » Wed Jul 01, 2020 4:20 am

I been reading up on stories about some men having a cold penis and cold glans after getting an implant and some men having the same temperature as before the implant. Why does that happen? My understanding is that the saline solution in the reservoir is heated by your body temp so when you inflate the penis should feel warm/normal like preop, but why is it that some people have a cold penis and cold glans? Also I would think that if inflated for a long time let’s say 3 hours, wouldn’t the temperature of the saline solution go down and make the penis cold eventually since the saline solution has been out of the reservoir for a long time, which means it’s not being heated by the body so it’ll lose its heat when inflated for a long time ? Does anyone experience this ?

I’m a little concerned about this because I feel as though a cold penis wouldn’t feel as good to the girl as a warm penis ..my erections are hard enough for penetration but not hard enough to make a girl feel good and bring her to orgasm, I have a possible venous leak. and if the penis does get cold after implant when inflated for a long time then it gives me second thoughts about getting an implant. last question, for the men who does have a cold penis and cold glans after implanted, is it still pleasurable for your wife ? Can they feel the temperature difference and can you still bring them to orgasm with a cold penis?

I and many experience a cold one after an Implant. Mine still has a slight cold feel about it two year post implant - It has improved with time.
I haven't had any complaints about it feeling cold and have had no problem making her cum.
I'm sure it's temperature increases when it's inside her.

I have heard from surgeons about Trimix gel on glans for getting blood flow into penis.
That should increase blood flow and make it feel more like a natural erection

I wouldnt say mine feels cold, but more room temperature to slightly above, not really warm like a blood filled penis.

You are going to get many different answers. For me, sexual stimulation is necessary to get warm blood flow. Otherwise, it does feel cool. I can warm it up with a warm hand. It also stays warmer if I am upright. I think gravity pushes warm blood downward.
Yes - the saline can feel cold as it remains outside the body. I have had no complaints about temperature and once you penetrate, it should warm up from your partner's body temp. It is a thing to consider when making your decision. In my opinion, there is nothing like a natural, blood-filled erection. The implant is a solution to a problem but not a perfect one. That said, I am happy with my decision, as the implant has given me a sexual confidence that I have never had.

Also ..if I understand human sexuality correctly.

1. men receive pleasure from the nerve endings mostly concentrated around the glans and under the frenulum. temperature of the penis doesn't affect pleasure or orgasm.

2. females receive pleasure from the nerve endings on the walls of vaginal canal, and densely populated nerves in and around clitoris. the G spot is the inner lower part of the clitoris that leads to lot of orgasms( using a finger or penis head suitably angled to hit this spot).
Temperature of the penis usually doesn't affect pleasure or orgasm for a female...unless she is spying with a motive to figure out if he has a secret implant.

The biggest difference between the sexes lies in what is termed as "orgasm gap". If a man can have a strong erection for more than 15-20 minutes and can have penetrative sex (hitting the right spots) without climaxing first and the female is adequately aroused and lubricated, its very likely the female will climax after 15-20 minutes.
I believe the implant lets a man do these.
Also a condom is made of rubber which is an insulator..I have been using for years.Never heard any female talking about the temperature of a mans dick.

Just a data point. I know for a fact that my wife has had an orgasm upon a few strokes of initial penetration. She has also orgasmed from intense kissing & breast play. In your 20 minute senario, she can easily have several.
The female orgasm has to be one of the greatest misunderstood mysteries of the modern worls.

But some people can retain the original temperature after implant right ? I wonder why some people do and some people don’t ? I know it varies from person to person but what determines that ? (Implant model, what disease you have at the time of implant, technique used to implant, Surgeon, etc.)

Just thinking about all the complications and changes that will happen when getting an implant makes me depressed. So many things can go wrong from getting an infection to losing sensitivity to losing length and girth. If I had ED so severe that I can’t even get an erection for penetration then I will get an implant in a heartbeat. It would make deciding easier. The thing is my erections are hard enough to penetrate but still too limp to bring her pleasure or orgasm so I’m like in the middle of the spectrum. If I get an implant and it ends up cold I will miss having a warm natural dick. I don’t want to do injections because it’s inconvenient and requires planning and viagra and cialis doesn’t work.

My penis curves downwards, the curve starts at the base of the penis. Not sure if that’s Peyronies but it requires constant stimulation to stay hard. I remember there was one time I made love with my girlfriend and I was really getting into it and I felt my penis got really hard and she told me I almost made her cum for the first time. This was before I had prostatitis. So even if I do have a venous Leak or Peyronies, my dick has potential to get hard enough to make her climax if I focus and get into it and learn to relax. and I’m fairly young so I don’t know if I should get an implant. Most guys get it as a last resort but for me I don’t know if I have a venous leak or Peyronies, I don’t even know the actual diagnosis all these years and I had it since age 12. I guess the first step is to find out what’s wrong with me and get an actual diagnosis..

Pbarkley, I personally think that you've answered your own question. Oral meds don't work. Not interested in injections. So where are you at.
Your afraid of the small subset of guys that have less than ideal results. Ok, have you read any of them posting that they regret getting the implant? I haven't. My guess is that they regret getting ED but they didn't have a choice. They are using the next best thing.
You have already found out that the best erection for a women is usually the firmest erection. She told you as much in her own way but you weren't listening.
You're playing the "what if" game. Odds are that it will turn out just fine.

Hey gt1956,

I think my problem could be performance anxiety too. I may have a venous leak but I don’t think it’s that bad..the time when I almost made my girlfriend cum, I could feel my penis getting harder as I got into it more and was able to relax. That was one time out of all the times I had intercourse though. I just want to see if my problem is really a venous leak or something else that can be fixed by surgery...I don’t know. I have a relatively small penis (5.5 inches erect) and small girth. I actually think my girth decreased in size throughout the years for some reason..could be related to the cause of my ED. I was hoping the implant could give me an increase in size cause if it can then I would have more reason to do it but I heard mixed stories so I don’t know. And now I hear about the penis feeling cold after the implant...wouldn’t that mean that women can tell that u have an implant since they are able to tell the temperature difference? I don’t know why but the temperature thing bugs me a lot. I feel like if the penis is warm it would be easier for the woman to enjoy it, if It’s cold then it would feel artificial to her...i don’t know I could be overthinking it too. But if I were to have sex with a woman that has a cold vagina I think it would make a difference in the amount of pleasure I feel. Maybe I should get a woman’s opinion on this.
