Its right in the middle of normal range. Nothing wrong with your T level.

Many depression medications cause ED. Are you taking meds and if so have you checked the side affects?

No, I’m not taking any meds at all. The docs are now referring me for an MRI to check for Peyronies. Even though I was told by a professor that it would have shown in the Doppler if I had it? None of it makes any sense to me?

I have a congenital curve but they think it possible that it has developed into the very start of Peyronies. Even though I have no palpable plaques or pain or anything. And the Doppler didn’t show anything. They told me once the MRI is done it will at least rule out anything physical and will help the psychological aspect. My GP has said that depression can suppress libido and one failure can lead to a never ending vicious cycle of psychological ED.

My morning erections are weird it’s like they are half semi erect as if there is an obstruction of some sort. Though my GP did say that morning erections can be affected by depression also. It’s confusing.

I still have the same problems although some things have now got worse. I now can’t get an erection when masturbating at all. When six weeks ago I could get one while lying down. It seems since I started high intensity training every day for one hour and started healthy eating it has got worse? This is destroying me every day I now no longer feel I have any sex drive.

I’m booked in for a pelvic and penile mri on 12 September. I spoke to my urologist and I asked if all this could still be psychological and he said yes. And the vicious circle of psychogenic ed Mimics physical ed and can worsen over time.

Somethings not right here. I wake up in middle of night expecting to have an erection but it’s just slightly semi. No erections ever throughout the day and my sex drive is now zero. Can anyone tell me what’s happening here cos psychologically messing me up

So went to doc today and he said my MRI was unremarkable, no signs of anything whatsoever and he tells me that my ED is psychological. Now he’s giving me a follow up appointment 3 months away. I’m still no satisfied and know there’s something else going on. What should I do?

I have just reread your entire thread. Could it be possible that you have a pelvic floor issue. Something similar to the condition called hard flaccid. It is interesting that since starting "high intensity exercise" you now have difficulty getting an erection even when lying down.
If your pelvic floor muscles were in an excessively contracted state before the above routine, this may have intensified.

As your nocturnal erections have been significantly affected and you are not waking with solid erections in the night or morning, I feel there is more than a psychological aspect to your problem.
At night the part of the brain that inhibits erections during the day shuts down, making erections during REM sleep much easier to occur. These are vital for penis health. Anxiety will during the day encourage that part of the brain to work overtime, but not while you sleep.

If your pelvic floor is in a constant spasm, nerves that supply the penis can become affected and possibly even the blood supply. If you have exhausted all other avenues, I would seriously consider the above and seek out a pelvic floor specialist. You can even try some stretch’s for the area yourself.

In my clinic we have a functional magnetic stimulation machine called the Tesla FMS. It has programs that can work the pelvic floor muscles if they are in a weak condition. Women can use this to correct incontinence and it also has programs for erectile dysfunction if it is caused by weak pelvic floor muscles, that is the opposite to what I have discussed above. I am mentioning this as the pelvic floor condition is more important than some realise. It is important that either form is diagnosed correctly.

As you have suffered from anxiety for some time, this can have a negative effect on various parts of the body. Muscle tensions can develop and persist. These spasms are the result of the sympathetic nervous system running on overdrive for long periods. As I mentioned to you in another post, the elements that maintain the penis in a flaccid state during the day; the adrenergic pathway can also become exacerbated during long periods of anxiety.
Essentially it becomes the new normal. This needs to be reset and the only way to do this is to treat the anxiety.

It is also possible that an “intense exercise routine” is not what you needed. Undertaking a gradual and moderate routine may have been more beneficial and not caused too much of a shock to your system. As your “fight or flight” response may be engaged most of the time in your body, it doesn’t need any more shocks!

Did you read the recent excellent post by a young doctor on this forum who eventually worked out that his ED was primarily caused by a pelvic floor issue? It may help you.

Very interesting post.

I have the exact same problem (if it really is a problem): a slight curvature of the penis. It's not painful, it doesn't stop me from having sex and it has improved recently. I believe that frequent blood flow to the penis is helpful but it's just a wild guess of mine.

I don't think I have PD and there is nothing that looks like plaque but I have a theory that this curvature was caused by masturbation when I was a teenager.

Could you please describe in greater detail the tests that you did for PD and what were the results? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for both your posts on this. I have got my morning erections back completely like rock solid every morning for what seems like hours while I’m asleep. I wake up every night with hard elections. It seems the exercise has made these return after like 8 weeks of intense exercise. I still however lose them when I get up to go to the toilet. I was with a girl the other day and I managed to keep a good solid erection whilst standing while she was giving me head with no medication. And kept it up for the duration I was in a relaxed state and not thinking about it. Is pelvic floor a real thing simbarn because I always thought it was a money making scam? I do find my penis is a lot longer and kind of rigid when walking around like as if same length as being hard but soft at same time. It’s looks and feels a bit weird.

In reply to your post flavio I have had 3 examinations on my penis one with induced erection and they measured the angle of my congenital curve which turned out to be around 15-20 degree curvature. The professor told me he thought it was congenital and not Peyronies over a year ago. Since then I had 2 other urologists check for palpation of any plaques or narrowing denting etc. None of them could find anything. I then underwent 2 Dopplers which showed nothing in the form of plaques scar tissue fibrosis etc. The only thing they could see was a Mild degree of venous leak in first one but second one was normal. I was told that because first time I the drug they injected wasn’t strong enough. The radiologist told me Peyronies and scar tissue would show up in a Doppler. Still not convinced I asked for an mri and this was normal. As well as normal testicles and seminal vesicles.

The doctor also told me that pain in penis is almost always there with Peyronies. And also most of the time they can see and feel plaques upon examination.I have never had any pain or any plaques and all scans were normal so at least I can finally rule this out.

PS I meant to add that I’ve always had a curve for as long as I can remember. But I thought it was getting worse. The doc has since told me that congenital curves don’t get worse it’s only when it develops into Peyronies that it will get worse which I don’t have.. so he reckons that what’s causing me my problems is because im so fixated on my curve and the anxiety I’ve got about the appearance of my penis and thinking the curve is getting worse and it’s causing a vicious never ending cycle of psychological ED. So I’m now waiting on psycho sexual counselling and first appointment is on 27th

I definitely do think I also have some sort of anxiety disorder. The thinking about fight or flight thing is definitely seems to be apparent. It’s as if I’m always in a high alert state of mind and can’t get out of it. The muscles in my body always seem to be sort of sensitive and like twitchy. Never relaxed. It’s a possibility I have PTSD but suppose they will be able to work that one out at counselling? ... I haven’t seen the docs post no, where is it?
