The skin from my glans to the scar is clear of hair but past the scar there is hair, which gets thicker as it gets closer to the base. I can shave my pubes with no problem and don't mind the occasional ingrown hair but when I get ingrown hairs and white blisters on the top of my dick though, that $#!t's gotta go.

OK, just down the shaft, huh? I have lots of hair down my shaft, some hairs grow long too.
I've had those ingrown hairs on my body, thankfully none on my shaft like you.
My thought is even after the laser removal will some of those now unseen ingrown hairs pop up afterwards?

Possibly, and a couple or more treatments might be needed for complete removal but I think it's be worth it.

No, it's low power, only heating up tiny dark hairs, slight discomfort to skin but implant isn't in danger.

I used to go in for waxing about every six weeks. Just before my implant surgery I stopped grooming and picked up again after just shaving.

I discussed getting laser with my wife and she’s okay with it we put it off until I talked to the doc about it. He was okay as the laser doesn’t go that deep but to be safe I called the AMS rep and they agreed. I started the treatments have had 6 so far and according to the laser folks it can take 8 or more treatments. Mine area about 6 weeks apart there is significant reduction in hair growth some areas are gone some not.

Just to warn you it’s not totally pain free but not bad on the first treatments it felt like a mild sun burn for a few hours the okay. I’m having the whole area done as well as my back and butt to include the crack, wife like my chest with hair so that stays.

Thanks, Quester. If you don't mind my asking, how much did you pay per session, and are you going full bare pube or just pruning anything found on the shaft?

I'll probably do the entire bush right down to my circumcision scar so it's all hair-free. I'm also thinking about cleaning out the butt crack too. Definitely would make cleanups easier.

Waynetho wrote:I had an odd discussion with my wife today. She prefers that I shave my pubic area but let the hair grow back on my chest (I've been shaving both for over a year).

I have been getting ingrown hairs in my pubes when shaving and since I grow hair right up to my circumcision scar, halfway up my dick, I would like to totally get rid of all hair on my dick completely. With that in mind I told her that I thought I should get LASER HAIR REMOVAL for my hair growing on my penis because of the potential for ingrown hairs. She was okay with that and said she didn't see any problem with an esthetician doing hair removal in that area of my body. She knows someone whose daughter is an esthetician and does male hair removal (in a different state).

I said this would mean another woman would be handling my penis - she said it was fine because the esthetician is a licensed professional and that's her job. I mentioned that there was an off chance of accidental ejaculation during the procedure (very very VERY slight with me due to DE). I asked if that happened would it bother her, and she said, "No." She said it has happened to the girl she mentioned previously and it's just a natural reflex action due to the handling of the penis.

That is hard to believe, coming from my wife, that she wouldn't mind: A.Someone else handling me for the hair removal, and B.The possibility that I might ejaculate during the procedure.

It's a one in a million chance for me to accidentally ejaculate though because it takes *A LOT* of stimulation to trigger an orgasm right now due to paresthesia due to my implant last October. Just had to mention this and get any other guys' opinions on the above discussion.

I had lazer hair removal on pubic area and dick. The tech was a woman, she was very professional (to my face but probably called me needle dick behind my back) Anyway, it cost me $1375 and I still get a lot of hair I have to shave and I hear the more you shave, the more hair that grows... like friggin weeds. Ask you wife if, just before you blew your load, if it would be ok if her mouth was on it to catch your load and not make a mess of her surgical field.

Well, that's a nice thought but she's a cum-aphobe. If she even gets it in her mouth she will get nauseated.
It happened **ONCE** by accident when we were very much younger - I didn't warn her in time and went off in her mouth.

Regarding your laser hair removal attempts, how many sessions did you have? One is not enough. Depending on the color of the hair and the length of the hair it may not get all of the hair on the first couple of go-rounds.
Fair hair isn't as easy to vaporize as darker hair and as I understand it, the hair needs to have been cut recently (as in a trimmer) but not shaven smooth with the skin.

You are correct. I went for 9 sessions and I am brunette. The woman doing it, right at the beginning said I was an excellent candidate for it. :(
