Quick survey - what went wrong with your earlier implant that led you for a revision

I get revision tomorrow. Mine fell out on right side into my scrotum. Getting it all replaced tomorrow.

Here is why I need revision.
My left cylinder is good and fully expanded.
My right cylinder is buckling and poking lateral wall of my right corpora cavernosa.
This is causing me lots of discomfort and also to my wife,
On right side of penis I have big bump between 1 and 2 inches long.
Pain and discomfort is never good.
Reason for replacing implant .

I’m getting my revision because the proximal stitches of my implant did not heal properly… I am on anti-rejection medications which make any healing process take a little bit longer… Basically, they think I started cycling about two weeks earlier than I should have and within the first month, the stitches broke and the left cylinder now resides in my scrotum… Unfortunately, I cannot afford to see the surgeon who originally did the surgery but, I’m quite confident I’ve found someone with a good head on their shoulders…

Thanks Whitecane! My key takeaway from your experience is, one shouldnt get too carried away re cycling. Too early (like your case) or too late (which can probably lead to other unintended consequences) cycling has its own repurcussions.

I’ve personally have had 2 revisions so far. My signature isn’t updated but last week I went in for my hopefully last revision for at least 2 years (fingers crossed)


My issue was the titan implant was just too rigid for my anatomy. I believe people with girth under 5.5 should consider going the ams route. Too many crinkles and dog ears with the titan.



One thing that’s important for anyone considering a implant is to ensure you found the right surgeon, and that you’ve exhausted all other options of recovery for ED. I’m talking life style change of sleep, food, mental health awareness- all these play a part in ED. If you can spend at least a month trying this holistic approach along with your urologist suggested pills or injections.

If that doesn’t work and your depressed like I was avoiding all social interactions then yes, get the implant. Just make sure they’re high volume surgeons performing IPPs. My first doc shorted me and the cylinders were uneven, my sec doc over sized me and the implant would poke out at the base(very painful, never had a comfortable day even after 5 months). And now I have a 21cm AMS 700 cx with the MS pump. So far so good

Congrats , Pamen! But are you not being too consrvative re the lifespan of new implant ( just 2 years!)? I thought, I should be aiming for a revision not before 10 years. Or may be its a wishful thinking...

My first implant ruptured while pumping up, the Dr and the rep said it should have been impossible to over pressurize. The implant was undersized and even when fully pumped I had excessive floppy head. I was fully warrantied the 3 piece and discounted on the Dr visit and surgery!

Who knows what is going to happen. They work till they don't. That's about it. If it works use it. If not get it fixed. My revision was all paid for. Removed titan put in lgx. Warranty issues never even brought up period. Removed old non working one. Put in new working one.

Never an issue why doc took out titan and put in lgx even though titan failed at 10 months. He just preferred lgx. Absolutely no problems at all. Warranty never was a factor.

I'm going to try to get a revision because the doctor errored ang implanted a 3 inch implant. It works so it would not be a problem except my wife and i can not have sucessful intercourse, it's just to short. hope i can get the revision,if not then our sex life is over.
