Not really no.
I have very littlefunction, I can't get an erection at all without a cockring. Even with one it's soft.
No nocturnal erections, nothing. Even with viagra. I can't have sex with what I have, not even close.
I use a pump to maintain size.
Haven't had sex since 2017.

But really, it doens't matter what degree of function you have, if you can't have decent sex with it, then you need to move on.
Implanted with AMS 700 lgx, 2021.

Been there. Done that. Was that.

When I first began to notice my E.D. it was like this:

For a LONG time I was plagued by the nagging anxiety of the questions,

"Will I stay hard long enough to please her?" then,

"Will I stay hard enough to have an orgasm myself?",

"Will I get hard enough to even get inside her?"

and ultimately the near certainty,

"You will not even GET hard.". And that NEAR certainty was worse than a certainty.

But then I got an implant....because there was nothing worth going back to if the operation failed.

Ultimately the anxiety of, "Will I stay hard?" is gone, (not to mention the anxiety in the back of HER mind, "Will HE stay hard long enough for me to have even ONE orgasm?"). With my implant, sex can be as carefree, spontaneous and playful as can be.

And during sex, I don't concentrate on keeping my erection. I am free to concentrate of making the most of an erection with staying power, concentrate on how it feels to her and concentrate on being the kind of considerate man IN BED as I try to be OUT OF BED that makes us (her and me) happy with each other.

How "near future" do you consider "near"?

If you are planning on the nitinol implant being available in the next two years AND if you would prefer it, you might just want to wait.

The operation to implant the device is simpler than the three-piece inflatable and easier on the surgeon and easier on the patient. The nitinol has no (or few) moving parts to fail, as well.

On the other hand, FDA approval process is long and the "memory metal" nitinol implant does require an external device to make it work.

Gathering anecdotal (self-reported) statistics is not statistically valid. Statistically valid studies have been published in the legitimate medical journal literature discussing longevity and service life of IPPs. The evidence is strong that waiting for a better implant is not in the best interests of most E.D. sufferers.

That sounds pretty cool, but not sure if anyone wants to be the first few to use it. Who knows what kinks have to be smoothed out.

LS, one point though - I believe the AMS Tactra uses Nitinol in its makeup, but it's just not actively resettable by an outside source. I did read that the metallic component uses a nickel-titanium alloy (Nitinol) core.

Never even thought about being scared. I just wanted it fixed. An implant does that. Once I found out an implant would fix my issues I could not get to surgery fast enough.

I never even had much pain with either my initial titsn or the lgx revision. This lgx has an issue. I will be at my urologist again as soon as the office is open, telling them to fix this. Get me s surgery date.

Period. Nothing else to think about. If you cannot get hard. There is nothing to lose. If everything does fail I am no worse off than I was before. I am actually better really. I can mastubate with no problems without even pumping up. No sex. But if no implant no sex anyway.

Where is the negative anyway. If I am at my end why even worry about it. Just get the implant and see where it goes.
18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.

What issue does your LGX have? Why do lgx keep having issue. You just got it and it has been less than 2 years. Not good.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

Indusvalley, there is an English error in the post. He means "IF this lgx has an issue". His Titan failed after 2 years. The lgx is what replaced the Titan. He has posted several times about his satisfaction with the lgx.
