Re: I've officially joined the club
Curious how many pumps others with the AMS LGX can get in before they can't depress the bulb anymore? I can only get maybe 5 or 6 pumps in, and they aren't full squeeze, but a half pump really, and then there is just too much resistance. The implant will stiffen and hard to bend and useable, but I see some Coloplast guys going 50, 60 pumps and I just don't understand the huge difference. If I soak in a warm tub I can maybe get an additional 1 or 2 pumps out of it after about 10 minutes.

Re: I've officially joined the club
My CX gets about 8-10 (maybe a couple more) and toward the end it's partial squeezes. After 10-11 pumps, it's still only about 85% rigid so trying to "crush the marble" with my dominant hand another 8-10 times causes a bit more lift and rigidity as well as pressure pain, but I don't really perceive any give in the bulb at all when I squeeze it those last few times.

Re: I've officially joined the club
I've been experiencing some further pump issues that concern me. More and more it's not clicking over to inflate mode and every time I pump the bulb I keep hearing what sounds like air pumping. Has anybody else had that experience with their LGX? I'm worried this thing is already failing after 6 weeks of having it and I haven't even gotten to use it yet.

I don't understand how there is such a large variation in the number of pumps required to get 10% inflation of the implant either. It seems obvious that you have read some of the threads discussing the matter.
I can pump about 30 squeezes to get full inflation. The initial squeezes are full, wall-to-wall compressions. Later, only about 25% of the previous volume seems to be transferring. The back pressure prevents me from getting a full squeeze. That leads me to the conclusion that a man's hand strength has something to do with it. Also, if there is a little bit of backflow when the one-way vale sets, that would make a difference.
Certainly, the volume of the implant itself (length x radius squared) will make a diffference as well as the starting point. If an implant is never FULLY deflated (and this may or may not be detectable) less volume will have to be transferred to get fully inflated.
The important thing is that when you get as fully inflated as you are able, is your penis erect/rigid enough for penetrative sex?
Even if it is not completely unbendable, how effectively can you enter (and satisfy) your partner? Some women do not like a penis that is as rigid as a bar of steel, preferring a slightly (realistically) flexible penis.
Look on the bright side. You have a working penis. Besides, taking only 5 pumps to get erect, in my book, would be an advantage. You can get "off to the races" much quicker.

I get about 15 full pumps and my cock is rock hard. I feel like I could drive a ten penny nail with my dick. It is ready for action to fuck as long as I want. Never in my life have I ever experienced an erection like I get with my implant.

I know, right. After a dozen or so pumps and I and can repeatedly switch back and forth between PIV and muff-dive a dozen or more times (last night) before getting the warning bell for last call (both she and I were getting tired).

These threads expand on the question of "How many pumps?"

I always wondered about (and smiled at) the image of driving a nail with a nail.

LS, Obviously you've never seen the head of a finishing nail. The divot in the top of finishing nails is so you can put another nail or a punch in the divot to drive the nail under the surface so you can hide the nail.
That would be actually driving a nail with a nail... IRL.

Ah, yes. It has been a long time since I did any "proper" carpentry. Still, I would rather not think of my penis as skinny enough to drive a finishing nail. Perhaps a jackhammer moil bit.

Its up to maybe 10 half pumps before I can't get anymore to pump now, but I guess I don't have the hand strength to do more. Its pretty firm though and usable. Just worried why I hear an air pumping sound without the cylinders filling sometimes, whereas other times it inflates properly
