Erections Returning - 20 months since RRP

Yesterday was perhaps a milestone. I had sex with my wife, assisted by only a 20mg dose of sildenafil (taken 3+ hours previously). The erection quality was neither long-lasting nor of the firmness which results from my trimix injection (and the orgasm was great). However, this achievement along with stronger and more frequent nocturnal erections may be a signal the nerves are actually healing. Many of us are asking, will we ever be able to have sex without pills, VEDs (cock rings), injections, or implants? We wonder if and when the nerves will heal. We look for signs that the nerves are being repaired. I am one data point, yet I am a real person who is self-reporting on himself. My prostate was removed in October 2018.

I am 7 years out from my rp. I still find my natural erections getting stronger. Sometimesmorning wood is full blown. I probably will never be able to have vaginal intercourse without help. Trimix has been a very good solution. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Why not rollover and place that erect penis where it belongs when you experience the morning wood? Is it because, while you have the firmness, it is short-lived?

Don't get me wrong, the sex my wife and I enjoy after I inject with Trimix is unbelievable. I can satisfy her, she can satisfy me. It's a very together experience, and typically we both climax (100% for me, not always for her). I do hope someday to make it all happen for both of us without injecting.
