Is it true that the Titan has no difference between its deflated and inflated length? Only the AMS gives more length when inflated?
If so, is there any need for cycling the Titan?

Re: Deflated vs Inflated Length
Girth would be a good reason. The Titan will stretch out in diameter somewhat. (Titan owners, please expand on my limited perspective.)
Even if the length does not increase, just the movement of the tissues seems to be beneficial. Pumping blood through the tissues. There is some stretching of tissues even if it does not actually lengthen. Being inflated is stimulating sexually to the man, even without a partner and that does bring a certain brightness to a man's day. And practice pumping up makes it easier to inflate quickly when there is a partner avaiable, willing and "in the moment".
Edited to add, after I read MK1965's post and recalled what Dr. Eid wrote to me once.
The implant folds like an accordion, thus it can lengthen from the uninflated state as it gets inflated. Not that it can stretch in length from its maximum manufactured size, but it can lengthen as you pump it up. The AMS CX seems to do the same thing as well as the AMS LGX (but without the accordion-like wrinkles).

Re: Deflated vs Inflated Length
dantan,
I have a Titan for almost 2 years.
Deflated ( flaccid) I am at 4.25 to 4.5.
When fully inflated, I am 5.5 and sometimes with glans engorgment it goes to 5.75.
So yes, there is a difference between deflated and inflated length.

Re: Deflated vs Inflated Length
Ok, so much on flaccid penis vs inflated. The titan does expand in length and mostly in girth. Having had Peyronies I will take my straight 4.5 inches flaccid over a penis with. 97 degree bend. When inflated I am about 5.5 inches. With my own blood flow I am almost to pre Pd days. The flaccid takes time to get use too. However, if your implant is to correct ED or PD, it’s the trade off to have a erection on demand. IMHO

Correct me if I am wrong but the Lgx is a little similar to the titan?

The LGX is almost identical to the CX as I understand it, with the one exception being how the Dacron sleeve is constructed, which changes it's expansion properties.

Re: Deflated vs Inflated Length
There is a difference for a Titan between inflated and deflated.
This is, according to my understanding, to a large extent driven by the "accordion" effect as LS mentions above.
Ad Dr. Eid told me, a perfeclty sized Titan will have some kinks when deflated and no kinks (but with cylinder tips far out in the glans) when inflated.
This means that when a Titan is inflated, it straightens and stretches the tissue of the penis to extend together with the cylinder. This is why cycling makes sense. To keep the tissue flexible enough to allow this to happen.
But, even a Titan cylinder does extend some when inflated. A study measured this to 3-4% or about 0.75 cm for a 22 cm Titan.
The same study also measured hardness, in this study defined as which load required to kink the cylinders of LGX and Titan respectively.
At lower PSI, Titan withstood 2.5 higher force before it kinked.
At higher PSI, the difference was 1.4 times higher.
Study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5654325/
There was also a large study showing huge effects of cycling Titans. Length increase over 2 years was massive.
So there seems to be reason to cycle a Titan.
In fact, the studies I have found on the subject does NOT show any significant difference between the length gain after 1-2 years between Titan and LGX.
The length expanding feature of an LGX is mainly giving the benefit of larger difference between flaccid and erect state. Length gain seems to be equal between LGX and Titan.
In my case, I have gained >2 cm length from immediately post op and 1 cm from pre-op. With a Titan. My difference between flaccid and inflated is 2-2.5 cm.

My titan. Right at 5.5 flaccid and a nice 4.30 hang. Pumped up fully at month 10. Just over 6.75 inches.
My ams lgx 700. Right at 5.5 flaccid and a nice 4.30 hang. Pumped up fully at 5.5 months with ams revision. Just over 6.75 inches.
Pretty much the same with either model.

18 cm plus 1 rte titan installed March 2019. Revision March 2020 by Dr. Andrew Todd, Richmond KY. He replaced the titan with an AMS 700 LGX 18 cm cylinder plus 2 rte for 20 cm total length.
Re: Deflated vs Inflated Length
Thanks for this thread. I’m on day 15 post op and doing amazingly well. I had great elasticity (stretch) despite my PD, so I’m hopeful my inflated will be better than my current flaccid and continually get better.
