While keeping it dry seems bit easier (is it btw?), what is the bulletproof method to keep the area clean? ANy thoughts?

If they gave you anti-bacterial soap before surgery and you did not use all of it, I would continue using it after you are cleared to wash. The brand name they gave me as "Hibiclens"

I have few more questions
- how much time it takes to recover from the effects on Anaesthesia (under Dr Kramer's protocol)?
- if you have high BP on the surgery date, what happens?

Thanks.

Depends on what you call high blood pressure. I don't know for sure but when I was working. We had a brief yearly physical. This was so you could wear a respirator if needed. If your systolic (top) number was over 150. You failed & had to go to your own doctor for treatment. I got nailed on it once. I presume that if your doctor couldn't get it under 150 then you'd be disqualified from your job. Then most likely be assigned to a non respirator position that likely didn't pay as well.
For the best info, I suggest contacting your surgeons office.

Thanks, hopefully I wont have to face this issue. Fingers crossed.

Some pharmacy's will do a free BP check. Give it a few tries. If you are over or borderline, try again without consuming any caffeine or antihistamines. Nothing say that you can't move the numbers in your favor. I used to game my hearing test for this physical. Good luck.

Expanding on Gt1956's post; I have found that closing my eyes and consciously relaxing lowers my pressure readings and pulse rate. Also, if I talk, my pressures go up. Around 5mm/Hg or so.

Proctor,
You may want to call Kramers office and find out what's going on, he's no longer employed there as of Friday, so your surgery date may be in jeopardy.

It won't be long. He'll show up somewhere else. He brings in too much money, another practice will make him a very good offer.

Thats true... Given his stellar reputation in this domain, he is an institution by himself...

I strongly suspect that having a big name at a practice is a good draw for other doctors practicing there. Also, if he does more sugeries than the average doc. The facility that provides the sugery suite makes money. The attached pharmacy make some money. Basically everyone gets a slice of his business. Of course, if he's wise? He might be able to get a little of that in his pocket.
