2 1/2"

Postby Dcr_inc » Mon Aug 31, 2020 9:27 am

Hello,
I'm 62 and have Ed and peronies due to diabetes. Have not had an erection or sexual intercourse for 6-7 years.. Have tried pills (all of them), Injections and a pump.. All with no usable results.

As such, My penis has shrunk from 6" down to 2 1/2" (pulled out when flaccid and measured).. I'm scheduled for implants in September but wondering if the pain and discomfort will even be worth it with my extremely shortened penis..

Any input is welcome

It may be too late, but you should have been using a VED to get some size back. I hope a properly sized implant will accomplish that?

You very likely are not pulling as hard as the doctor will when doing a stretch test. Also, it might help you get an idea what you have left if he could do an artificial erection by injecting saline & lidocaine into your penis. That will show what your maximum erection length is going to likely be. Some doctors use this method in surgery before they start cutting.

In cases like yours, the doctor may decide to do some plaque excision… basically, he may be able to remove some of the scar tissue that has developed that is causing your penis to not stretch out quite as far… he may opt for an implant that will help regain even a little bit more size… No one can promise anything but, that might be a possibility?

2 1/2" is not too short for intercourse satisfactory for both partners. Though some accommodations are necessary. An implant would prevent any further loss of size and provide rigidity.

The good news is that the above is the bad news.

The better news is as testified to in the earlier posts in this thread. Plaque removal, stretching out by the implant, etc can recover some of your lost size.

In your case, I would not hesitate. The only reason for delay (to my mind) would be to try to stretch my penis pre-op so the size of implant would be optimal for further rehabilitation. By the way, I am a believer in the benefits of VED therapy.

Talk to your urologist, your surgeon and your sexual partner.

As others have said, make sure you spend some time stretching your penis before surgery. I had about 2.5 inches flaccid, and sometimes less. I'd even "turtle" so the head would go into the shaft. I'd been that way for about 6 years, and even longer with little to no natural erections.

My doctor told me to start with at least 2 months of regular VED use, 4 times per day for 20 minutes each. I developed a regimen for doing this. Send me a message if you want to know what I did. Your dick will already look larger under the suction of a VED, and you'll be glad to see your old friend at full size from time to time. With work, that inside-the-ved size will grow, stretching the tissues in both length and girth. This kind of stretching allows the implant surgeon to install a longer implant. In addition to the VED, my doctor also recommended use of a traction device to add length. I bought a Penimaster. You can look it up online. A little expensive, and I probably didn't use it long enough. Traction stretching seems to take a little longer than using a VED, but both apparently have their place. If I had it to do over again, I'd use traction for about 6 months before the surgery and VED for about 3 months. However, I ended up with 2 for traction and 3 for VED and I'm very happy with the result. My flaccid is now over 4 inches and my erect is about 5.5. I'm never embarrassed in the locker room anymore, and the sex has been great.

Happy to discuss anything if you have questions. Just drop me a message.

I recalled this article I found in Late summer 2016. It might be encouraging.
