Long term frequent Invicorp User (UK). AMA.

Postby rich2222 » Thu Sep 26, 2019 2:23 am

I have been injecting for 18 months
I moved from Caverject to Invicorp just over 12 months ago because of Alprostadil pain
I’m a frequent user (4 to 5 times a week)

I was fortunate enough to get support from another FT member when I started with injections.
I thought I might be able to help someone else in return.
I will respond to any questions or messages from other members who are interested.
Happy to talk about Invicorp, injection frequency, dose dilution, or any aspects of sex in general.
66 yrs old
Hypergonadism (Nebido Injections since 2016)
T2 Diabetes
Initially Tadalafil. Then Alprostadil early 2018, but painful!. Now using Invicorp 3x weekly with great success)
Happy to share experiences of the journey. Message me if you want to talk.

Invicorp is stored in the fridge

I don’t need to use a full dose so I mix the original vials with bacteriostatic water in a sterile vial and then draw out what I need before putting the mix back into the fridge

The mix is very stable.
I have used It 3 weeks after dilution with no reduction in effectiveness.

In fact, someone I know has used it after a few days of ambient storage.

It seems to be very stable.

Rich

I'm considering Invicorp for the same reason as you, pain from Alprostadil

A few questions if you don't mind.

I see you say you 'mix the vials with bacteriostatic water'. Why do you do this rather than just using a portion of the vial each time?

Do you find the manufacturers suggestion of how the product works correct? ie that it only works after stimulation unlike Alprostadil.

And lastly have you managed to get the Invicorp on the NHS?

Thanks in advance.

The quantity in the Invicorp vial is already small.
Diluting it makes measuring smaller quantities easier.
If you use the whole vial, dilution wouldn’t be necessary

Stimulation isn’t required at all for me.
It just works!
Usually around 3 to 4 minutes to full erection.

Yes I get it on the NHS
It was originally prescribed by the Urology consultant (2 doses per week after discussion about preferred frequency) and it’s issued by my GP.
GPS rarely argue with the recommendations of a Consuitant.

Feel free to PM me if you have more specific questions

I can't find it available in Canada which is weird since we are part of the CommonWealth. LOL Do you guys in America have access to it?

I created a thread about this last March because PGE is killing me. Rich replied to me in the thread. :D

I presume if I can find an out of country supplier it wouldn't work as it needs to be in a cooler or it will degrade quickly, correct?

Because Of the storage requirements, and the fact that it would have to be supplied from Europe, I very much doubt that you would be able to import this.

When I collect this from the Pharmacy, it is stored in the fridge and they advise me to get it into chilled storage ASAP.

My practical experience tells me that periods of ambient storage don’t affect how effective it is, but any supplier is not going to go against the advice of the manufacturer.
