My theory is that in some positions it might very well feel girthier. If the hole it goes into is not round but rather a vertical slit, sideways insertion could feel less thick while straight insertion could feel more girthy.

My initial thought would be that she won't notice the difference. The size of the vagina is not static, meaning that once you penetrate it will stretch just enough to receive your penis. She'd probably notice going from a hotdog to a baseball bat but not from a pre to post op penis.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

My sexual experience with women is generally that many (or most, even?) aren't size queens looking for the fattest dick to get dicked down by. Definitely, the slight difference from widening due to an implant wouldn't feel much different. The hardness, on the other hand, will definitely make some difference...And probably quite an impression.
But in general, I think guys are way more concerned with their dick size than their partners are.
