I think anywhere inside the corpus cavernosum is good. Beachdude mentioned what for me is the secrete, and that is plunger resistance. If the plunger depresses easily and with little resistance, then you're in the correct spot. If you have much resistance then you are either not deep enough or too deep. Generally, the smaller the volume capacity of the syringe the easier to determine resistance as you have less resistance from the rubber of the syringe plunger. For that reason I use the smallest syringe that will hold my dose and currently that's a 3/10cc or 30 unit syringe. I use 31 gauge 5/16 needles buried but some guys like 1/2 inch syringes.
