Future Implant Surgery

Postby george » Wed Oct 27, 2010 1:46 pm

Hi, I talked to my family doctor yesterday, and he was in favor of doing the paperwork for an implant. I didn't need to talk to the Urologist. He asked why I wanted Dr. Milam for the surgery instead of going to Mayo because I live in Minnesota. I mentioned to him that Dr. MIlam was a specialist in performing implant surgery. We are going to set up an appointment at Vanderbilt, for next year. This will give us time for my wife to recover from her knee surgery, and I can try to get rid of some of the chest pain that I have been having. All the tests that I have done show only calcium deposits on my heart. My Doctor said he can't change my medication for my heart. He said it's possible that the Plavix could cause some of shortness of breath, and being so tired. He told my wife at the end of the appointment that maybe Vanderbilt could be of some help. This has been a wonderful web site to be on. I hope to hear from you guys.

Hi, this is george again. I started using a VED to try to keep everything in good condition. I am not using a ring, just create a vacuum, and then release. What surprises me is that I have wet bed sheets in the morning. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. Is this common when using a VED? Usually I am like the Ever Ready Bunny, I am going every hour.all the time like a clock that chimes. I have always been this way but having wet bed sheets in the morning really bothers me. Next week, I am going to the Doctor if it doesn't stop. Has anybody had problems using a VED that are similar to this?

Thanks

George

George

I have never heard of that problem caused by the VED. I used one for years before my IPP.

Check with your doctor as soon as possibe.

George,
I think I have heard of this happening. Are you being really aggressive in your pumping? I am friends wil "Bill" from Firma Medical - he does a call in show every Wednesday night. I'll call and ask him. If you go to Firma Medical website, you can see the info. you might call in and ask him. Keep doing your kegels? Sounds like the pumping has stressed something. You might also be wise to give your doctor or implant surgeon a call. glad you're doing the implant.

Hi, this is george. Thanks for the information, I have backed off the on the VED a little, and I have stopped drinking any liquids after 7PM. This has kept everything dry. I would move faster on a implant, but we need to wait for my wife to recover from staph infection, and have a new knee replacement (revision) implanted. I will keep in touch with this site, it has been the greatest. You don't know how much I appreciate it.

George
