I saw my Urologist today and he told me that I didn't have cancer, but I knew that.

I'm getting my Bionic Boner and November 27th at 11:30. This is only a 27 day delay! I can live with that.

Guys, I can't wait to join the club!

Hey Jere,
Just fininshed ready your story. Wish you the best and hope your surgery goes well. My story is somewhat similar. I have had HBP for 12 years and ED about the same amount of time. Oral meds are no longer effective. Why didn't you try injections before deciding on the implant? I am thinking of doing the same thing you are doing and skipping the injections. I have my surgery set for Dec 19th. Biggest problem is no insurance coverage.
I have also had a slow increase in my PSA. The highest it has been is 5. My urologist did a biopsy not quite two years ago and it was negative. He said unless I get a spike he will lay low on future biopsies. If they give you a good local the biopsies are actually painless. My concern is if I have the implant placed first and then I later have a biopsy or heaven forbid a RP that either one of these procedures may seed the implant with a resultant infection. Most guys have had the RP first. For the rest of us there is concern about the biopsies or RP infecting the implant. Does this concern you? There is not a lot of literature on it. It may be nothing to worry about. It just makes me paranoid. I made a post earlier about ectopic placement of the reservoir which would elimimate this problem.

The one cylinder is working out OK, as the doctor said it would. My penis now leans to the right, but that is because the one tube is on the left and pushes it over. Not a major deal though.

My tip does not extend up into the glans, but is about 1/4" short. So when I pump, I pull the glans over to right on top of the tip. Seems to be working OK.

I hope to do a first test run with my wife this weekend.

No, not at all.

I made a post earlier about ectopic placement of the reservoir which would elimimate this problem.
I'm going with the midline scrotal approach. I don't want a scar in the pubic area, due to no hair to hide it.

Alternate placement and incision for the reservoir. The result of scar tissue from a prior undescended left testicle repair and hidden hernia repair and of scar tissue from my RP. Anyway, th implant went in 11/7 -- took 2.5 hours instead of the expected 1.5. Pain and swelling are minimal and things appear to be healing well.

Radiodec- I had no pain and no swelling --- until Day 2. Then the swelling started, although I really never had much pain. I quit taking pain meds the second day.
