Almost 1 year out - Interesting issue

I'm almost a year out since my 15cm AMS 700 CX was installed on 10/28/19. Things are going pretty good aside from repeated adhesions on the left side of my penis where the quick connect for the reservoir makes contact. There is one thing I am trying to get used to right now that I'm not sure there are many others who are similarly affected.

I decided at 59 years old to follow my family heritage and as such, found that my family name "Thomason" is part of Clan MacTavish of Scotland. With that in mind I bought my first kilt last week, only a standard utility kilt model made out of the same kind of cotton/poly black khaki material that some food-service pants are made of. I also have a kilt and all the accoutrements on order with my clan tartan (MacTavish/Thompson Camel).

The issue I'm afflicted is that I am wearing the kilt "True Scotsman" fashion, meaning "commando". As such, the pump does pose a bit of discomfort when not supported for long periods of time. I'm hoping that with time, standing and sitting while wearing my kilt will get more comfortable and not cause itching, "pinching" and "stabbing" sensations in my scrotum as much.

Does anyone else here regularly (like all day long, every day) go commando, since implanted? I would be interested to know how long it took before standing, walking and sitting for long periods of time (days) became comfortable endeavours.

Interesting. I can't answer because I was just implanted. But, I have worn boxers and most often loose fitting cargo shorts. Not commando, but hanging loose is how I like it. Hope I don't have to go back to briefs after I'm all healed up.

To clarify - even though I'm almost a year since surgery, I have always worn either Separatec or David Archy two pocket briefs or low-rise briefs such as Jockey (with a dress left along the front). I've always supported the pump and cylinders until recently, except when going nude around the house which isn't full-time.

Only since Thursday afternoon have I been going strictly commando all day long (except for Friday during the day - for convenience while sitting all day during my work@home day, I wore an adult diaper).

I wear loose shorts a lot and have no issues with it hanging. It actually hangs pretty low in my sac. This lgx pump feels big and bulky compared to my old titan pump, but I really do not feel it as far as weight goes. It mainly sometimes goes one on one with a testicle and wins.

I've been going commando every day, all day long since I was 20 years old and I'm 73 now! Even post-op, I ditched the underwear early on. I didn't experience any real problems standing or walking from the beginning (at least after the tremendous swelling in my sac went away!) For me, sitting by far took the longest amount of time to feel comfortable. At first it was the swollen sac, then becoming accustomed to the 3rd amigo. With the pump now residing alongside the brothers, my sac feels heavier than before. Also, when the pump aligns itself between my balls every now and then, the "three across" sometimes makes walking and/or running a bit more challenging.

I’m fascinated by other cultures customs. I’m a Russian guy so, this post made me a little kilt curious/jealous LOL. Really cool you are embracing that part of your culture! My only recommendation would be to maybe wear it around the house for like an hour a day? You know, cycle it? I don’t think anyone’s written about killed cycling yet so, I can’t say it’ll work for sure but, eventually, I assume it would become like a new pair of underwear. I know that in Russian culture, we’ve kept a lot of things intact even in the American lifestyle. Is the kilt kind of a party thing or just for show? Is there a significant meaning behind it?

It's kind of hard to explain the significance. I'm embracing a part of my heritage that I've never considered before although I did follow Scottish heritage back in the 90's but I never got serious enough to get a kilt. Part of my desire to get my first kilt was due to my exhibitionist side, knowing I was going "regimental" and was legally in public while being unfettered by pants.

I met someone a couple of months ago who wears kilts most of the time and I was a bit jealous and decided that I wanted to as well. Once I bought my utility kilt I decided that I would get one with my clan colors (tartan). I'm now a member of the Clan MacTavish Facebook group and I've heavily researched what tartans are correct for my clan affiliation. I'm not buying the tartan I really wanted which is the main one for MacTavish, but only because it's only woven on Scotland and is very expensive when the entire kilt is made in and imported from Scotland. Instead I'm getting the MacTavish/Thompson Camel (light brown).

Basically I guess it's pride in belonging to a very ancient Scottish clan that makes me want to wear the tartan kilt.
