I’m considering getting an implant, but here’s my dilemma.. I’m a grower meaning my flaccid penis is a lot smaller than my erect penis. I’ve read that implants usually aren’t good for people like me do to the fact that they stretch your flaccid penis to get a reading on how to size it for the implant.
I’m about 3.5”-4” flaccid and 8.3” hard. If I were to lose about a half inch I’d be okay that would be a great trade for a hard dick lol. But I’ve read guys losing anywhere from .5 of an inch to 2 inches.
Anyone here have any experience with this?
Have any growers lost any length?
Implants for growers?
Re: Implants for growers?
What you probably heard was that you would no longer be a grower. The implant will keep your cock stretched out and it won't retract inside your body anymore after you get the implant.
Just because you're a grower instead of a shower is no reason to not get an implant if you really need it. Just be aware that you'll have a bit more package you show off once you heal than you've ever had before.
Make sure you get good pre-op erection measurements so you can tell your doctor beforehand. You can also ask your doctor if he induces an artificial erection.
Even if the doctor doesn't induce an erection though, they will measure the distal length and proximal depth and add the two together for your total implant cylinder size. They're pretty aggressive when stretching out your penis from the inside using the measuring tool in the corpora.

Waynetho is correct about some surgeons, but not all. The thoughts about how to "size" an implant has evolved over the years as surgical experience has grown. The "stretch test" and even the measurement of an induced erection are only estimates, thought the erection test is pretty good indicator. The definitive measurement is taken during the operation. The Surgeon opens your penis through an incision, and inserts a measuring tool (a stick, essentially) and measures from the incision up to the distal end of your penis INSIDE the tunica albuginea. Quite vigorously, I might add. Essentially, he rams it up there. Some me find it difficult to wacth the videos, but i recommend you do. Then he measures from the incision down into you pelvic crus (the proximal measurement). Adding the two measurement together gives the total length of the implant that could be fitted into your tunica. Some surgeons subtract a little bit from the summed length to ennsure agains oversizing. Skilled surgeons have a better feel for it than less experienced surgeons. Quiz your surgeon about his philosophy on sizing. If you don't like the answers, find another surgeon.
As far as flaccid vs erect, you will find your flaccid penis a lot larger than before the implant. That is a given and universal among growers who have been implanted. You will also find that your erect penis will not be anny larger than your best erect penis size immediately before the operation. You may experience some stretching/increas over time if you have lost size from your prevous maximum, but that is not to be counted on.

Good answers already, but my experience is yes you may lose some length after an implant. I was the same way, my penis could shrink down to around 2", maybe less if cold. Erect I was probably 6" to 6.5". (never did an actual ruler measurement pre-implant, that's wife's estimate) I had skin that folded up under my shaft base. Now fully inflated with my implant per a tape measure shows just over 5". (wife knows it) So size is something to definitely discuss with your surgeon. Wish I knew that going in. Also flaccid state is way different, warm or cold my penis is always the same size, no more shrinkage. And my flaccid size is larger than it was before on a good day.

I was absolutely a grower. Some days I would only be about 2" but erect I was ~6.5".
If I was aggressive with a VED I could achieve nearly 7". Nearly a month after surgery I am at 5.5" flaccid and 6.5" erect.
I chose a surgeon (Dr. Leroy Jones in San Antonio, Tx) that has performed thousands and does teaching. I attribute my ease of recovery and preservation of size to his expertise. And since I'm only 1 month out I'm hoping for an additional .5" in my future.
Bottom line is to find an experienced doctor and you'll have very little to worry about.

Re: Implants for growers?
Was an extreme grower myself before the implant. My penis is effectively the same size post-implant as it was before. The doctor should do a stretch test to get an initial measurement, and then during the surgery, they will generally induce an artificial erection with saline, and/or measure directly when they have access to the corpora. There isn't really any reason you should lose length due to being a grower.
I do think that there are some differences in how a grower may experience the healing process, but I only really have my own experience. I think there's an additional tightness to the skin that might take some time to go away (I'm two months out, and it has gotten a lot better), and it might be one of the things that contributes to having a flaccid that sticks out more than it hangs down. I can say from experience though...It doesn't seem to affect sizing.

Sure! Titan "flaccid" is sure something else. And yes, I'm sure it's fully deflated, I can feel the flat tubes if I squeeze.
