Thank you all. Great insight. Good to confirm my thoughts (and fears). Wish Covid19 wasn't making travel impossible for me. Just not worth the risk for a 2x cancer survivor to go to NYC.

Got my appointment with Dr. Brady in Orlando Nov. 11th. fingers X

Anyway I went with the implant on the 1st of September. New to the implant but so far I'm happy. It sure does get hard and stays that way.

How is the girth? Have you regained any?[/quote

Not so far but the surgery was done in September. I haven't been able to use the VED yet either because of a tear in my incision. Other guys have told me not to judge this soon that it will increase over time. I guess time will tell.

Hey LUp, we have traded PMs regarding my implant experience with Dr. Eid.

I was still using trimix when I chose to get an implant. No peyronies, just ED due to veinous leakage. I used injections for 3 years.

Injecting trimix ensured there was no spontaneity (20 minutes prep time), and required carrying syringes and refrigerated vials when traveling. My wife had a horrified reaction to my needle stick so I went into another room. About 20% of the time with injections I didn't achieve a usable erection, there may have been some congestion, but not enough for penetration. When it worked, my erection would take effect after 10 to 20 minutes and would last about 10 minutes, 15 max, after injecting. The short duration may have been due to the blood leakage, I don't know for sure. It was a substantial PITA for a few minutes of fun. Still worth it, but frustrating...

The implant is ready for action in less than a minute, is reliable as sunrise (so far), and duration is never an issue. I am confident that my implant erection is as long and large as with trimix, and far more firm.

Both my wife and I are far more satisfied with an implant over injections or any of the other ED . Within the first 3 months with the implant, we had more "encounters" than my total in the 3 years of trimix.

Figured I’d add this here rather than start a whole new thread....I know, crazy right?

Cialis and Viagra had stopped working so I just started injections and was having trouble with that. I tried injecting solo the first couple times so there wouldn’t be so much pressure and neither was successful. First time the recommended 10 units and then bumped up to 15 units. Second time ended up semi-hard for a few minutes. Spontaneous sex with wife last night so I jumped straight to 30 units and it worked well. After the first two unsuccessful injections, I sent in an appointment request to the urologist to talk about implants.

To those that have done both, how are implant erections compared to injected? Gotta admit, last night was the best I’ve had in a long long time.

My only complaint with last night is that it was completely spontaneous so we had to stop so I could run downstairs to the kitchen. Obviously this wouldn’t be necessary with an implant, but curious if it’s worth looking at an implant if the injection seems to be working now.

My worthless opinion. Every guy will see this differently. So perhaps there isn't just 1 way to look at it. Now that is out of the way. I can see some logic to sticking with the shots if they work. But, & that is a big but. Keep your eyes open for the beginning of scarring. I would suggest to not delay an implant at the first sign of scarring or curvature.
So I feel that if you're mentally prepared for the shots to slowly stop working & you are super diligent in watching for complications of the shots. Why not give them a fair try?
Where I suspect the trouble comes in for many men is because they are not willing to stop when complications start happening.
Only you can answer those questions. Either way you decide. I wish you good luck.

I've read each post here and a lot of others on FT. What I've recognized is that each person's experience is a little different. Each person, therefore, has to weigh the pros and cons and risks of an action they are going to take. I've had terrible results with Trimix. Will I try a different formulation? Perhaps, but it's been almost two weeks and my dick still hurts from the latest injection-- 30-1-10 80 units with no usable erection and what happened lasted less than an hour. I may give it another chance, but my gut is telling me go bionic! Unless my wife of 50 years threatens to divorce me or my doc tells me it's certain I'll die from it, I'm going to take the step.

Don't wish me luck, just that I'll make a good decision.

I’m very fortunate to have an understanding wife, although we’d both gotten very frustrated. It was rough going for a while because she thought my ED was a reflection of how I felt about her so I was actually relieved when my urologist said it sounded like a pretty clear case of venous leakage.

My biggest concern is how an implant erection compares to injected. It’ll definitely have to be a conversation with the wife, especially now that the injection has worked.
