Any idea if a doctor would prescribe this in the UK? If not how to get hold of some safely?
42yr, ED from mid 20s. Currently trailing Invicorp. Single dose of 0.35 ml contains 25 mcg Aviptadil and 2mg Phentolamine. First injection gave 4 hour erection with half standard dose placing me at risk of priapism. Help!

It is a research peptide so a doctor most likely will not prescribe. No guarantee of safety, but it is widely available online.

I’m afraid not for the reason already given.

It’s not on the BNF (british national formulary) which is the doctor’s bible for what they can prescribe.

Can you point me to am online source etc? Appreciate it's at my risk.

Where is this product being actively tested?
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

I'd like to see what PT-141 does after reading all the FT threads and watching about 12 YT videos. Can it help ED, reduce/eliminate Cialis daily use and/or injections, and will it help DE (posted inquiry thread to DE folder).

I got some of this stuff a 10mg vial and made it up with 1 ml of bacteriostatic water where 1 mg = 10 units of mix. The most conservative site said to start with 0.25 mg PT-141 for 2 injections 2 days apart. Then up 0.25 mg ultimately to 1.0 or whatever works and is tolerated. Another site was a bit more aggressive.

I started with the 0.50mg dose (5 units) 3" to the right of the bellybutton in fatty tissue. I only got very mild, if any, nausea/upset stmach which is the most frequently reporting symptom. BUT I got a significant facial flushing like taking a really good dose of niacin, even my sinuses got stuffy. Pulse got heavy and went up. I felt mildly "off" (maybe light headed) for about 2 hours then things started subsiding and back to "normal" after 5 1/2 hours. That night I had nocturnal tumescence ALL NIGHT LONG off and on (took no 5mg Cialis as usual). But now nothing today: no casual erections, no horny feeling. I realize the dose was a low starter dose. While the symptoms were mild and fairly tolerable at 0.50mg, I can imagine they'd be much more significant at the higher efficacious doses. Has anyone experienced atypical side effects like this?? Thanks

PS: The FDA has approved use for women for low libido and I discussed this with my Uro who concurred with testing it for the reasons outlined above but he had no experience in males. He was ready to write a script for the labeled Rx women's product but I'd already bought the generic version from a US vendor, Paradigm Peptides.

SO I went though a 10mg vial (in 1 ml biostatic water, 1mg = 10 units) over the past 2 1/2 weeks (10/4-20) to figure this stuff out. Some sites say to use as needed, some every 2 days, and where I bought it from says every 4 days (@ 1.75mg). As an aside, I find it curious that some sites say it is effective for ED after an hour and other sites say use it every 2 or 4 days. One site says increase from 1 mg to 4 mg to find your sweet spot and others say to increase to 1mg and others 1.75mg with no ramp up. The info seems to be all over the place. So I started slow and careful and took notes.
I ramped up about every 2-3 days as follows: 0.5mg, 0.5mg, 0.75mg, 0.75mg, 1.0mg, 1.2mg, 1.5ng, 1.8mg, 1.8mg.

Side effects: generally started in 5-10 minutes, peaked at 1-2 hours, and mostly subsided in 4-6 hours. Sites say the most common side effect is nausea. I’d say it’s more like a pretty upset stomach with a hint of nausea and moderate reflux, enough that I popped some Tums. This went on for hours. The worse effect for me was flushing. I looked red, my face felt hot. My eyes were mildly bloodshot and burnt. This went on for 2 hours. My sinuses and nose got very stuffy and runny, like a histamine reaction. I hit each side with a shot of Afrin and an antihistamine spray. This went on for a couple of hours. My pulse got heavy for a while, I had an anxious feeling, and my BP was mildly raised. I seemed to be a bit light-headed. For the mostl part I just felt YUCKY. It kinda felt like a histamine reaction. All this such that I could not see having sex for 5 or so hours, and certainly not within “2 hours” The side effects got worse as dose was increased save the first small dose which was bad. I would call the side effects for me at 1.8mg as moderately bad. The better part of a day is shot feeling like you are getting the flu.

Effects: First, my dose by some accounts was low to mid-range so this evaluation is incomplete. I have bought more to test higher doses and will report then. Overall benefits seemed vague/elusive and mild. First, I have no problem with libido. I could jump the shark a couple times a day (68 y/o) wife willing (but she’s not). I have Anorgasmia so there is no refractory period). So I was NOT looking for that benefit AND I did not detect any increase in libido as dosed. I did have a mild stirring/tickle in my loins on occasion the 2nd day, stronger in the first 24 hours. Nocturnal tumescence and morning wood was enhanced (taking 5 mg Cialis for PT) on the 2nd day and actually disruptive to sleep. Several times I did have “stirrings” and a partial erection with some at random inopportune times. It was brought on by thought and casual contact. BUT it did not hold for long. We had sex 5 times during this trial period and tried without TriMix injections and it was not very successful and always required a shot to perform. So at 1.8mg it did not help my ED. And as well during this period I had no ejaculation during sex, so it did not help anorgasmia.

Conclusion: My first blush is that the benefits FOR ME do not outweigh the “cost” (at 1.8mg every 2-3 days). But I am willing to try higher doses, if tolerated. Why? I am intrigued by the instances of increased tumescence and by the occasional erections. And, I’d like to hope that I can decrease the amount of TriMix I need, and also improve the anorgasmia problem. Perhaps longer-term use brings better benefits. I am not looking forward to side-effects at higher doses. Appreciate your suggestions.

I would love to try PT-141 but I'm terrified of needles. No spontaneity is another downside: correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you have to wait several hours for the effect of PT-141 to kick in. :(

If you're looking for a centrally acting drug that improves both erections and libido, I strongly recommend the apomorphine sublingual tablets from The ED Clinic. Apomorphine is not an experimental treatment, it was approved in Europe a few years ago (brand names Uprima, Zyprima).
