My glans ALWAYS engorged when I was able to achieve an erection with pills and/or injections. However, since my IPP surgery almost 7 months ago my glans does NOT engorge from sexual activity of any sort. Without engorgement, there is a lack of sensitivity in the glans, which makes orgasm and ejaculation almost impossible -- even from aggressive masturbation with appropriate visual stimulation (pornography).
After reporting this to my surgeon, he prescribed a gel that's inserted into the urethra. The gel contains the same ingredients that I used to inject. I haven't tried either of the gels yet but hope one or the other helps with the lack of engorgement problem without pain from alprostadil.
I would welcome postings from implanted men who have used urethra gel(s) for glans engorgement/sensitivity and are willing to share their experiences.
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.
