Titan pump suddenly becomes indented while pumping, restricting how much fluid can go into the cylinders

They had to replace the entire device. The device was covered under warranty, but I had to pay for the procedure a second time. The new device got infected and they had to replace it with a semi-rigid device which remained in place until I could afford to pay for a third surgery. They covered the new device under the original warranty. This most recent device works well, although does not seem to get as hard as the first device I had, and it still has the issue I spoke of in the previous post.

Hi All,

So just an update, and Dr Eid has replied to me mentioning the following:

"The description of your issue is consistent with a fluid leak for the unit. It can either be fixed or replaced depending where the leak is located. I suspect that gradually the unit will loose more fluid and the erection become less rigid. Kindly make an appointment so that I may examine you and confirm the diagnosis."

Im going to make a phone appointment as soon as I can - flying to New York from London right now is not easy.

My impression is a CT Scan is needed to establish the area of the leak.

If the worst comes to the worst and I need a complete replacement, does anyone know the cost of this? It was only 7 years ago I had the first one implanted (I paid myself and the total was very expensive) - Is there not normally a 10 year guarantee at least and a lifetime warranty from Coloplast?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

New Guy
I'm having the same issue with the pump staying indented after 25-30 pumps. I assume I have developed a small leak, if its just the pump maybe a simple fix? What did you find out at your appointment, hopefully you got good news and wont require a complete revision.
Implanted with Titan 18cm + 1cm infrapubic on 1-12-17, wrong size cylinders. Had a complete revision on 3-22-17 scrotal approach. The revision was a complete replacement with a Titan 22 +1 RTE to improve function.
