My Story: Implanted Titan 22cm - Dr Tariq Hakky (Pics)

Thanks everyone! I must say that when I used to research on implants, I used to be nervous because an external device has to placed in my body and that terrified me. However I was around on this forum for so long and saw so many success stories that I knew I wanted it too. I had one small anxiety that I discussed with Dr Hakky and he told me that when he does an implant, he thinks as if he is implanting himself. That is all I wanted to hear, it reassured me so much that going into the surgery room I was confident.

I don’t have anything new to report today other than trying to poop, icing myself, and pulling down the pump slightly once or twice a day. I am healing fast and Dr will check during followup appointment on Friday if I can be activated or not.

I do notice a slight pain under my left shaft from time to time, I don’t know why it happens and then goes away. It happens on left side under the penis and sometimes in tips, I think it’s just healing.

Peaceofpain, Dr Eid quoted me same as you but when I told him that’s expensive for my considering the circumstances, he said he could do operation in private clinic instead of hospital for $25K. I was thinking NY is expensive so that would be extra cost for me. Dr Hakky did for $18.5K in his office where he has state of art room and I am happy with the result so far. After the operation, I have had no temperature, no moderate to severe pain as users here report, no complications, etc. All is good. I will report if something goes wrong (hopefully not), but I am optimistic that it should be smooth sailing from here.

That pain is just you healing, it's amazing that you're not in much more pain considering what has been done. Everybody seems to have these odd aches and pains which do eventually go away. Had a few myself over the years, then one day you forget about it.

So by the time you woke up thye had removed the cathiter? I thought that it stayed in for a day or two. That's great, because I here it hurts like hell to have it removed!

How does it feel in you, strange question perhaps, but does it feel like you have this artificial device in you?

The most annoying pain/ache I have is on left side of the penis, there is a small area that has changed color a bit, I really hope it goes away soon as it heals. The rest is fine and not paining or aching.

Yeah they remove the catheter after completing the operation while you’re still asleep.

I think it’s too soon to say. I am out for over 100 hours now. I need some more days or weeks to make good judgement. There is one thing I noticed though, when I am about to finish peeing and my penis does that reflex thing where last remaining pee stream comes out, it feels like my penis hit something in front but when I look down, it has not hit anything. I think what happens is that the tips of the implant maybe hits the inside of glands and the signal my brain processes is that your penis touched something in front.

If the left and right sides weren't exactly the same (uniform depth/length), the left side pain you get occasionally may be a kink or dog ear in the cylinder. This pain typically appears when fully deflated and disappears when inflated. If that's what you're experiencing, it will likely pass with time or get less troublesome as you learn to accept and prepare for it. I still get little bits of discomfort from time to time due to folds in my cylinders and I'm over a year out (almost 13.5 months).

Waynetho, I am still 50% inflated until the follow up appointment with Dr Hakky on Friday. So it’s not the kink. I got a closer look and there is small bruising patch on left side, the pain comes and goes randomly, I believe it will be fine once I fully heal up.

Thank you. He didnt mention anything about a private clinic, so it must be part of negotiating. I don't know if there is a downside to paying 4-5K less to using a private clinic, versus more for a hospital. Something I'll have to ask him.

I would like to say that these private surgical units are normally very good in the USA. Most cosmetic doctors use them. Some have their own unit. Some use a unit that furnishes the facilities to many doctors. What they don't normally do is surgery that requires deep sedation or frequently needs more that a day of recovery. In the case of the 2 women that I know who used them. They were only there less than 12 hours. It is a reasonable choice for the less complicated surgeries on people that do not have complicating medical history.

I had a follow up appointment with Dr Hakky yesterday. There was a Coloplast rep there. He activated me and made me inflate and deflate. It was a bit painful but I had to tolerate it to learn. He made me do that 3-4 times before sending me home. I came back and tried to inflate whole day but couldn’t due to the sore sac which was paining due to activation. So I applied some antibiotics cream and took painkiller and went to sleep.

Today I woke up (it’s 8th day since surgery) and tried inflating it up as much as I could to tolerate the discomfort in the shaft of the penis. I am getting a throbbing feeling in the shaft but I am going to keep it that way for 15mins or 30mins before I deflate. See attached photos of how my penis look like right now. My angle of erection seems to be 4 o clock, but if I lie down flat on the bed, then it is 3 o clock.

Has anyone activated their implant just a week after surgery or did your Dr ask you to wait a little bit longer before activating it?
