No, the malleable has much lower patient and partner satisfaction ratings, and it also more likely to experience erosion, perhaps the most dreaded side effect of all.
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

I just did some internet snooping. The malleables seem to have a slightly higher infection risk. Lower satisfaction rate as mentioned. It just does not act or perform like a real erection. I.E. not as firm.
It is for men that have certain mobility restrictions.

Or some certain pornstars (JH2007) who are dissatisfied with the pump and tubing being visible and difficult to hide in video shots... :?

I understand your point of view. But in his case I felt it was more of a money decision than anything else. I got the impression that he'd make more money without the pump requiring special angles & shots.
But yes, he does have a restriction in a unique way.
