Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
Long story short, most of my life ive been 7-8” in length. Peyronies and ed hit, i was probably 6.75”-7” going into surgery. I was implanted by local doctors at kaiser in va. I got a 18cm ams lgx with 3cm RTE. initially i was satisfied but as things have healed ive realized how absurdly small my penis will be. I will be lucky to have 5” with what i am currently looking at, and the tubes are misaligned and do not reach far enough into the head of my penis so my entire head is floppy. I have a post op appointment on jan. 4th. What can i do or say to my current doc so that i can resolve these issues. Any help is greatly appreciated this is absolutely destroying my life and making me hate my implant solely because of the substantial size loss.
Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
I’m 2 months out and in the same situation,I had 7 inches going into surgery and I’m 5 inches post surgery.Very disappointed also.I am cycling twice a day and using a VED hoping to gain some length back.I have read on hear it can take 6 mo. to a year to gain length back.My implant seems to be a good fit and works very well, but like you,it’s just not the same loosing a full two inches! As far as what to tell your Doctor, tell him how you feel, you’re the customer and he works for you!
71 yrs.old married,ED for 7 yrs.Pills for 3 yrs,TriMix for 21/2 yrs.6 1/2 inches flacid,71/4 inches erect,6 inches girth.Coloplast Titan put in 11/13/20,Dr.Bozeman,Arkansas Urology,Little Rock.22cm + 2 RTE.

I would try to keep some perspective in the interim. I understand that losing size can be shocking, upsetting, that it can affect your self-conception. We see ourselves and our bodies a certain way, and we get feedback from others, good or bad, and sometimes the perceptions and comments are accurate, sometimes they aren't, but either way, it all gets embedded into our identity.
But when you talk about being 7 or 8 inches, or 6 or whatever you had before implant surgery, what you have to remember is that that size wasn't real anyway, not anymore. You didn't have a useable dick, or you wouldn't have had surgery to get an implant. Saying you have a 7 inch dick that you can't use, that doesn't get hard enough for sex, is like saying I have a million dollars that I can't spend. There's just no point in holding onto a number or a picture in your head of something that's gone, it's chasing after the wind. Now, that being said, if there is a real placement issue, something that went wrong with the surgery, say, if the tips really are just too short and could be moved up into the glans, then that can be fixed pretty easily.
This is really not worth feeling that your life is destroyed. You only have so much life, please try to keep a balanced perspective. My approach would be twofold. Take practical steps to resolving your issue, ie, if you need to have the tips placed higher in the penis, you might need another surgery, though it will be easier than the first. Second, as you move toward the practical resolution, try to focus all you remaining time and energy on things that bring you happiness, and things that give you purpose. Surely you have them.

When was your surgery? It takes time for everything to settle in. If you haven't already read my post Went from "What did I do" to " OH YEAH!!" (here on FT). I was in somewhat the same boat as you are being unhappy with my implant early on but in time it all settled in and is great now. BTW I also have the LGX 18cm with 4cm RTE (only 1cm difference between us) and I am 7" fully pumped.

I really like this post. You said it well, i think we would all rather have a 6 inch hard one and not a 7 inch floppy one.
I also think guys don't truly remember how big they were. This guy says i was 7 -8 when hard, which was it 7 or 8? That's a big difference and pretty vague.
Give me a shorter working penis any day.

Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
Who was your doctor? Was this done with private (employer or self pay) insurance? The reason I ask in my home state insurance companies are very powerful and control health care and all my local surgeons (in network) not seem to have much interest in implant surgery. You may need to think about making a change to find a different doctor. On the other hand if you research your doctor and other doctors in your area you may find you have the best one in your area. What I am getting at is to gather information and have a plan and a plan b and maybe plan c. Those plans can be flexible also. So instead of just worrying about this do something to gain information and make plans for going forward. If you'd like to talk and need help with the research send me a PM and I'll get you my number. Take care and best of luck going forward with this.

Re: Recently got implanted by local doc and extremely dissatisfied with size
I agree with all who said that is better short penis which is working then much longer one not being able to get erect.
OP mentioned about PD and most likely he lost some cm’s due to PD and before implant.
I lost 2+ inches after prostate removal and it was barely over 4 inches before my first implant. If I had 4 inches working penis, I would never consider an implant.
OP could reach 6 inches with 18+3 implant.
I had 18+1 Titan and I was 5.5 and recovered about an inch with implant from those 2+ inches I lost due to RP.

First, I suggest you find yourself a world-class implant surgeon. Dr. Eid in NYC or Dr. Clavell in Texas.
You can do a video consultation with Dr. Eid for $300. My insurance paid for it.
Secondly, i suggest you start doing penile traction. The sooner the better. It is tedious but it works: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21091884/
This way if/when you get a revision you end up with a larger implant.
Best.

The part of your post that bothers me most is that your cylinders don't go far enough (or even into) the glans.
An LGX could give more growth, but I think you're starting from a bad point.
A decent surgeon would never leave you in this position.

I am scheduled for an implant at Kaiser (Mclean) VA on Jan 19th, with Dr. Kai Li. I don't see any reviews for the surgeon, but he looked confident and knowledgeable during my appointment with him.
