Coloplast Titan — flaccid 5 weeks post-op?

Postby hopefuluser » Fri Jan 01, 2021 8:51 pm

So I had my surgery on November 24th by an esteemed high volume surgeon (Dr Ricardo Munarriz). My healing’s coming along well but I am (pleasantly?) surprised that my implant has softened to the point where I’m now hanging at about 5:00-5:30 when deflated. I’m thrilled but also concerned because I feel it’s more typical for guys with Titans to have to wait months for the tubing to soften.

Did I “break” something? My dr’s PA gave me the OK a few weeks ago to masturbate deflated (haven’t learned how to inflate yet) and I would think he wouldn’t let me do that if there was any risk of damage. I could certainly feel the crinkly tubing flex when masturbating and it seems that it got more flaccid after one session, although that may not be true.

Anyone else had a Titan break in/soften this early? Is it normal?

Have you been flaccid for the entire 5 weeks? I was told in a consultation that keeping the cylinders deflated too long early on can make them “crinkle” inside your penis, so that scar tissue forms around them in the crinkled state, and then inflation will be difficult or impossible.
You might want to double check with your surgeon, but I’ve read that the top implant doctors recommend either early activation (within a week) or they keep you partially (50-70%) inflated for a week or 2

No, definitely not flaccid entire 5 weeks. First 2 weeks I was kept semi inflated and then they deflated the implant and told me to come back in another month where they will then show me how to use it.

I’ve just noticed in the last week or so (5th week) that my penis is definitely more flaccid (when deflated) than before. From what I’ve read it seems like softening like this for a Coloplast takes much longer, so that’s why I’m wondering why it’s been so fast for me.

I wouldn't freak out about it. Lore builds up around here about what certain devices and brands are "supposed" to do or give you but the totality of anecdotes and stories isn't representative.

And I doubt that being left flaccid for a few weeks would make the implant difficult to inflate or make a difference with sizing. I think it's another neurotic hangup, that you have to start inflating right away or stay hard or your penis will shrivel up into a nub of scar tissue. The capsule is formed around the implant, the implant is in there, it's not going to freeze in the flaccid state, you'll be able to inflate it just fine. After all, you're not going to be inflated most of the time anyway. For most of your life, you'll be flaccid, but then you can still inflate whenever you want.
