Ah, the age issue. Basically sex is more important to me cause I'm younger. Think for a minute. Old guys are getting implants because sex is still important to them.
I was married very young. Entered the work force very young also. I was always one of the youngest everywhere I worked. Due to changes in my industry & a period of not hiring new people. I was younger even in my 40's. One of the most important things that I did in my life was to watch what the older guys did & how it turned out for them. Thus I never smoked, drank or quit a job in a huff cause something didn't go my way. I learned how to live a good life by watching older mens outcomes. Seems to me from reading other mens life experiences. Not very many regret making the implant decision over not having sex. Thus from my view on what I've seen from older & younger men than me. If sex is important, after everything else has failed. The implant is the best option.
So a natural erection is preferred. Pills & shots as long as they work. When you hit that last fork in the road where it is either no sex or an implant. The choice seems easy to me. Oh wait. I'll be shorter. Ok, is a shorter dick better than no sex????? Only you can answer but you'll have to live with your choice.
Im angry and depressed as f*ck. Just had a consultation for the prosthesis.

If your post is directed to me, well I've never said that sex is not important for old guys and I strongly disagree with whoever thinks that. Obviously everyone has the right to live and persuit its sexual life. It was not that what I meant.
What I was trying to say is that you can't compare you're feeling to other or take for granted that what is right for you could be right for others. Obviously an old person has a different perception than a young one, different needs, different pressures, different context. Not less important, simply different. And so I don't understand why someone should judge and try to delegitimize others fears.
If someone is not thrilled for a stronger erection with 5 cm lost and want to share his sadness about, I don't know why someone should try to dis his feeling. Just that.
OT. Mine was never meant to be an attack to someone. It was a peaceful remark. I'm new here, I appreciate a lot this forum and I find it very informative. But sometimes, as I see a lot of guys with a psycological obsession for sizes, on the other side I see some users a bit too annoyed and simplicistic to other struggles and doubts.

A few random points.
Advice/answers in this site will be many and of various type. That’s good not bad. If you post you want feedback. Some will resonate with you, some won’t. If all you want is one type of feedback, then write your own reply to your own post. The feedback you don’t agree with... just ignore it.
Who knows best the difference in priorities, desire, sex habits etc between a 25 y/o and a 45 y/o - the person who has been both 25 and 45 or the person who has only been 25..?
Sometimes things are subjective and a matter of opinions. Sometimes there is an objective right and a wrong. A fact and a fantasy.
Fact is that if you have ED and have lost size, you will never get your size and erection back. You have to live with what you have or choose the least bad option. That might suck, but nevertheless it’s the truth. Even if you’re in your twenties.
Yes size is important to one’s self esteem. But if it’s gone, it’s gone. Dwelling over it and delaying taking action won’t give neither erections nor size back. We all have to accept it. I never said losing size doesn’t matter. I said that if it happens even with the best doc, it was inevitable.
Yes, being single, dating and looking for your future partner for life presents different sexual challenges than married for 20 years. But it doesn’t change people’s desire to be and feel sexy, manly, potent and have a great dick.
I have said numerous times that an implant will most likely put a young single guy in a few awkward situations. But fact is still that having a limp dick will most likely be a lot worse.
All we can do when faced with a problem is to pick the best of the available options. Turning back time is not an option.
My personal intention with spending time posting in this thread: Help the guy who started the thread. Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t. But that is not necessarily judged on whether or not he liked what I said. I certainly don’t care much (read: not at all) whether people like my opinions or not. Those who resonate with my thoughts do and those who don’t - well they don’t. That’s fine. No need for anyone to make any excuses for disagreeing.

Hello everyone, i've taken time to read all your answers. Some i liked more, some i liked less, but overall i would like to thank everyone for making this post really discussed and for all your partecipation and involvement. I appreciate that. I would also like to apologize if i've been rude with someone, i was really angry and desperate that day.
My plan now is to just reach out Rados Djinovic and ask for a consultation with him. If he can't guarantee me a size which satisfies me, i'll try to reach USA and ask a consultation there to Clavell or other good doctors (i cant afford Eid at the moment). Then, with these 3 consultations, i'll just decide for my life and for the implant.
A special "thanks" goes to the user Gigi88: he expressed my feelings really, really well. I don't know you, but THANKS from the deep of my heart (we're also both italians )

Re: Im angry and depressed as f*ck. Just had a consultation for the prosthesis.
Having been a grower rather than a shower my entire adult life (until the IPP surgery -- surprisingly! -- gave me 1-1/2 inches more flaccid length but the same erect length as before surgery after 6 months of daily one-hour cycling), I can definitely relate to those of you who fear a loss of length from implantation. We all want to feel good about what we see in the mirror. However, trust me when I say that a hard slightly shorter dick that works every time for however long it's wanted is way better for your emotional well being than having a long shlong that can only flop around like a wet noodle.
The fence is a very uncomfortable place to sit, especially with the passage of time and the continuing onslaught of ED. Better to make an well informed, highly researched decision one way or another as soon as possible and then run with it.

Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.
Re: Im angry and depressed as f*ck. Just had a consultation for the prosthesis.
I didn't word it very well. My point that I have made to my kids. Copy success. Btw, my son is in his late 40's. I tell young guys the same thing. I have lots of friends that are 40's to late 50's. I've spent a lot of time thinking about mistakes & successes in my life. I have tried to pass on to others what I've witnessed & done.
Just because a guy is younger than me doesn't mean that he needs to make the same mistakes that I made.
My opinion is the same path if ed strikes. Your age is irrelevant to me. Pills, injections then an implant. I'm willing to listen to a different path if a guy wants to describe it.
Once pills & shots quit working. There is less & less chance of regaining length the longer that you delay. Arguing about something that you run the risk of permanently losing vs something you might lose seems counter productive in my mind.
It sure seems that most implanted men that post their results after a year or two of their surgery report getting most of their length back. Some even report a small gain. The short term shock is what what bothers guys. If your dick quits working, tell me a better choice? Since I've experienced a short term penile loss before. I don't fear it. I'm pretty sure it will mostly return & either way my dick will work. I lost some length after my circumcision because of trauma. It came back.

So, Gt1956, how long have you been fence sitting? How much longer will you continue doing so? What do you still need to know/learn, etc. that will push you off the fence to one side or the other?

Not fence sitting willingly. Too close to medicare age for my health insurance to pay. Just barely enrolled in medicare. As soon as I get some kind of proof of insurance I'll start trying to navigate the covid lock down. Pretty much have picked my surgeon. Btw, I didn't ask about length. He volunteered the info. I've posted several times about my situation. Just a few days ago was the last time. But since you've asked personally & I've staked out a fairly hard position on this thread. I don't mind repeating it. I'm a fairly open person.
I had a circumcision in 2013. I asked the urologist at that time if he did implants, said no. Not follwing up was mistake #1.
I had hoped that correcting my phimosis would help with the ed. Nope, there was my mistake #2.
Pills worked then but I did not know that they would fail. Mistake #3.
Talked to my pcp about suppositories & shots. He advised against them. I should of followed up better. So mistake #4.
Our oldest daughter developed health problems. Finally came to live with us. She died late 2015 from a brain aneurysm. Since it was an unattended death, the local police called our home a potetnial crime scene. Got through all of that shit but the emontions hung around our necks. Bad luck for #5.
Found FT about 2 years ago. Dived in & read as much as I could. Initally closest surgeon I coukd find info on was Karpman. Talked to him on the phone. But he is about 650 miles away as I recall. Searching FT I found a guy that had his implant done here. Not much info on his doctor. Finally found Dr. Brant. I was initally a bit unsure of him. Several members have contacted me about him & I saw him in either June or July. Does a good number of implants but doesn't get much press about it.
So now covid has restricted access to hospitals & my insurance realizes that if they delay that I'll use medicare instead of them wise business decision on their part. So there are unlucky mistakes #6 & 7.
So I feel that I can speak with a little bit of personal knowledge about delaying, how well it works & the regrets that I feel that this old man feels.
I've done the very best along with help from my wife to wear out a vagina. That stuff is bullet proof. I/we liked sex as yougsters & as seniors. Ed has robbed of us of some really precious times that can not be made up for. Ya, big regret for lost time.

Re: Im angry and depressed as f*ck. Just had a consultation for the prosthesis.
hope794 wrote:Hi guys. After reading your journals, i was ready for the idea of an implant. Today i went to a good italian doctor for a consultation and he told me things that i hated to hear. Honestly, i'm starting to think that i'm just doomed to depression and impotence for life.
He told me that i should try PRP for Peyronie's, but by reading the studies i already know it doesnt give great results and will never be able to reverse my situation. It costs a lot and i'm not going to spend all that money just for a "try" (his words, so no guarantee).
Then he told me that "for sure i will lose at least 2cm with an implant". I told him: "But Doc, i've stretched my flaccid penis to the maximum, why don't you do it like me?" He said that i've stretched the flaccid penis too much and, if they insert me a prosthesis with that measurements, i will probably have a glans ischemia or an extrusion.
And this because i've stretched really a lot the penis while flaccid.
Then i asked him about the girth: i've said him that, if i stretch to the maximum extension, my girth is ridicolous, like 7-8 cm or 3.15 inches. He told me that with a Titan i will have for sure more girth than that, but i will probably lose 1-2 cm even in girth.
So: i've already lost 1 full inch in lenght and 0.5" inch in girth by Peyronie; then i'll have to accept another 0,5-1" loss in lenght and probably the same loss in girth.
My only question is: WTF is that? Is that an option?? Sorry, not for me. I don't want to insult anyone who lost that size, but for me it is just not acceptable.
I apologize for everyone for this post, i'm really angry and depressed and honestly i don't know what to do now in my life.
IMPORTANT QUESTION: By reading your journals, people here told me that american doctors can give you the same lenght and girth you had PRE-IMPLANT. Do doctors like Eid measure you like mine? Do they REALLY stretch to the maximum or they just take your penis and stretch a little bit like my doctor? Trust me i've really stretched to the maximum with both hands and my doctor said it's not feasible because i would risk an extrusion, so he has to bring down 1.5-2 cm.
P.S. = Please don't tell me the old tale "even if you lose 2", at least you have a working penis" because we are humans with dignity, we the men have a psychology like women and we deserve to be good with ourselves too. It's just not a matter to fuck, i would just not recognize that penis as mine. Sorry again to everyone if you feel offended but that's it.
You reminded me how much chaos goes into all of this. I felt absolutely petrified with fear going to the pharmacy and saying I was there to pick up viagra as a 20 year old college guy. Certainly not typical at all. Most of that fear is in my own head. I doubt a pharmacist cares about some kid’s ED issues and just wants to do their job. But still a good reminder from you that it isn’t as simple as just walking into a building, asking for an implant, and then having sex like a stud out of a porno two months later. We’re in it for the long haul boys. As a silver lining I’m sure we young guys who come out on the other side of this develop strong mental fortitude
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills
