Ma4y I asked what the two visits prior to surgery entailed?
Also, which prosthesis are you going with?

Newstart, at the first visit he injected my penis to induce an erection so he could do an ultrasound. I only got partially erect and he said that was ok for his purposes. Ultrasound confirmed venous leak. I have good blood flow into penis but it does not seal off. When I stood up off the table I got more erect (about 75%) and he did some measurements.
The second visit was for a cystoscopy. A scope was inserted into the urethra and went all the way up into the bladder (this was not fun). I believe this was to make sure there were no blockages in the urethra. He also filled bladder and asked me to pee after the scope was removed and did ultrasound of bladder before and after.
I have some plaque and about 25 degree bend from peyronies so I will be getting the Coloplast Titan. This is what I expected based on my research. The Titan is more rigid and better able to straighten the peyronies curve.
59 years old. ED issues since young due to venous leak . Started pills in my mid 30s, did trimix injections for past 10 years. Developed peyronie’s about 30 degrees curve from injections. Coloplast Titan implanted by Dr. Eid June 3, 2021.

Thank you Jersey for that detailed answer
I am actually getting a cystoscopy today for assessment as to best surgery for my long standing BOH. An implant will be next on the list.
I hope you continue to document your progress.
I am 67. Used injections for 4 years successfully, but now beginning to fail. I also have peyronies curve to the left.
Good luck to you.
67 year old. ED 25 years. pills don't work. Injections worked great for 3 years but last year they have continued a decline in effect. Also, 40 degree Peyronies curve to the left. No pain but a little awkward at times for intercourse.

Same to you. I did the injections for 10 years and pills for at least 10 years before that. Time to fix the problem. I will continue to update after the surgery.

Has it happened yet?
I wish I had found this site before my surgery too.
3 surgeries in 12 months was not fun.
Reading who I should have done the surgery with, etc, would have save a lot of headache.

Flexible cystoscopy is a walk in the park. No more painful than a catheter insertion but since they apply Lidocaine gel to the urethra five minutes before the procedure you don't even feel it. The Lidocaine has a little bit of a "sting" at first though.

A rigid cystoscope was used for my UroLift procedure which they say can be performed with a local or nerve block or something, while awake. I don't know but I'm glad I was asleep on the table for mine. The urethra has to be perfectly straight (all 23 cm worth). That was before I got my IPP, so I can only imagine the challenge of a rigid cystoscopy procedure afterward, although I know it's not impossible.

The scope was not terrible. They inserted lidocane before. Most of the sprocedure was painless except for a few seconds, I think when scope was entering the bladder. The rest was just mildly uncomfortable. The doc said it would burn when I peed for a couple of days and it surely did, for about 3 days. I found it burned less when I drank a lot of water and had a strong stream. Peeing just a little made it burn more. Drink lots of water and wait until you really have to go and you will be fine. I have total confidence in Eid, he is extremely knowledgeable and has seen it all.
