Increase or decrease in size on replacement implant?

Postby Benjohn » Mon Mar 29, 2021 10:43 am

I've read different stories about implant replacements with some people saying they lost size due to scar tissue, and others claiming that they had a bigger implant inserted.

For those who have had penile implant replacements, did you increase or decrease in size, or stay the same?
British, 32 yrs old. ED caused by Paraphimosis in 2019. 100mg Sildenafil for sex. Trialled Invicorp as advised by doctor in 2021 but it was too strong. Taking 50mg-75mg of Sildenafil every night at 3am to stimulate morning erections, good response so far.

My new implant is one size up - 22 to 24cm. Doc said this is not uncommon. However, my distal measures (penis tip side) remained the same. Proximal measures increased. The doc said I could expect some small settling in that could result in visible changes to penis length. We'll see

Do you mean on your first implant or a replacement?

To be fair, you're still quite early in the healing after you got the implant. Let the cycling do its thing before thinking that you've permanently lost that inch.

+1. Give it at least 3 months. 6 months will be even better to measure at.
I had a minor circumcision in 2013. The trauma of just losing maybe 1/2" of foreskin shrunk my dick for at least 2 months. I was like WTH, he didn't even cut any penis, only skin. Penis retraction from trauma is real.

It’s not a dick enlarging procedure...... it’s a dick stiffening one

True but most men regain most or all of what the had just before surgery. Some lucky guys get more than pre-op size, closer to what the had at a younger age.

hahaha... Very true but it's a bonus to gain rather than lose length... I lost length from doing nothing after my RP... My urologist then told me SFA about anything else... It'll take time for the nerves to recover....haha... Just wish I knew about this site years before I did... at activation of my implant.
