Day 2 since surgery:
Well things are going well. Still no pain and I have not taken any additional pain meds since the night of surgery and those were precautionary. I did use the toilet today a couple times so far. The Miralax has worked. I didn’t want to have to strain. I still got the mummy dressing on and using the frozen vegetables for icing. The reservoir worries me because I can see and feel it. I’m hoping this is just due to swelling. I’m icing that area also. My reservoir is on my right side about the belt line or just a little higher. I have not had any pants on yet to see. I was hoping this would be my final surgery for a while.. meaning 7 years or more. I’ve never made it that long but it’s a nice wishful thought.
I did shave and get a bird bath today. I’ll sure be ready for a nice shower on Saturday.
I’ve been up some moving around but mostly divided time between the new recliner the wife bought for me while I was gone for surgery and the new bed she bought for herself while I was gone. Lol.
I guess the bright side is at least she bought me something while she was shopping. She must have been in a good mood while I was away....wonder what she bought her boyfriend?? Jk. Lol
Well can’t think of anything else but I will continue to post updates.

Day 3 since surgery:
Took the mummy wrap off today. There is no swelling at this time and one small bruise under my sack. Still not having any pain but my sack is tender to the touch.
Not having to take any miralax cause everything is getting back in order.
I coughed while typing this post and it didn’t hurt but got my attention. The doctor called last night checking on me and giving me a run down on what he had done at surgery. He told me if I had any questions or concerns to just text or call him. He’s a great guy!!!

Day #4 post surgery.
Everything going great here. Still no swelling and no pain. I’m icing a lot and just resetting. I’m about to take my second shower. I have to keep my back to the shower and I’m trying to keep the incision area (scrolls) from getting wet. I don’t want an infection. I think I am going to use some kitchen Wrap to help keep water off the area. I usually shave down below but will not do that for several several weeks. Maybe time to go back natural with hair...who knows.
The support of my wife, friends, Coloplast patient educator and my good doctor has been so helpful both physically, emotionally and mentally.

My revision is 36 hours from now. No clue why im so nervous . I just need to be a man again. The last 4 months as a unik have sucked.

Day #5
Well I had a little pain Sunday. I went to Easter service after staying up and on my feet for about 4 hours. I was helping celebrate my moms 81st birthday. I got home and got in the recliner and started the icing. Still no pain medicine but I did take two over the counter Tylenol.

Day #6 Monday
Well I woke this morning and have been pulling down on the pump. No swelling but a little sensitive in my scrotum. The reservoir area is also sensitive. I iced some in the morning. I showered and went to town to run some errands. I was up and about for about three hours and developed some pain in my scrotum and in the area just below the reservoir. The doctor has released me to start cycling tomorrow. I do not have any swelling and can feel the pump and the release valve. It’s a little sensitive so not sure how this cycling is going to go the first few days.

I know the feeling for sure. This last surgery was my fourth since nov 3,2020. I didn’t get nervous this time til I was in the operating room about to be out to sleep. The hospital and their staff were 150% !!! I can say enough good things about them. Be sure to ask for extra lube on the catheter it makes recovery a whole lot better. You’ll piss lube for a day but it don’t burn and hurt.
