Please help questions regarding low testosterone and venous leak

I have had ED for 3 years or so. Basically started with Sildenafil then progressed quickly to trimix. Trimix solves ED problems for now. Urologist did a Doppler and diagnosed with mild venous leak.

Today I decided to get a second opinion and it was the same basically. Except this urologist drew another testosterone level and it’s low. He said starting testosterone could potentially help with erections.

Can someone explain the role of testosterone in producing an erection or maintaining one? Could testosterone treatment help my venous leak? Anyone have a venous leak and had low testosterone care to share any info???

I'm not a doctor and am only speaking from my personal situation.

I have Low-T as well, and am getting T shots. Brings the T level up, for sure, and the libido, but does nothing for the ED. Thank God for Trimix!
