You're probably getting bionic as I type. Good luck, hope all goes well/
And yes, early mornings are when surgeries happen. I had to be there at 5 AM!

Re: Joined the Bionic Brotherhood
I've started this post three or four times. Time outs and other complications stopped them. I'll just go from today with comments about how it went.
I met Dr Allen and his team from about 5:45 am to just before 7 am. They were right on time. I don't know whether the AMS rep was there or not. In the recovery room, I was groggy and don't recall all that happened or what was said, other than "things went well".
I didn't get a look at the size of my swollen and bruised cock and balls until that evening. I was shocked and wondered what I had done...lol. I couldn't close my legs because my balls were 20 times (only a slight exaggeration) their normal size! And I won't even mention the other part. Lots of ice packs and IV antibiotics. And the dreaded catheter! I felt like I had to pee all the time, which I guess was draining all the time. I had one pain killer (Tramadol), but the pain level was tolerable so no more. I slept fairly well that night since I hadn't slept at all the night before. Outside of two times for vitals, I was undisturbed.
Moving was miserable the next day. The nurses came in to get me ready to go home. My primary nurse said, however, that I had to half fill a urinal after the catheter was removed before I could leave. Also, they were curious if I had broken wind, which I had done several times (my first post-op BM was at 2 pm at home). I was offered a shower but said I'd wait to take one at home.
My son picked me up to take me home. I had already told him what I was doing. About the only thing he said was, "good" with no questions. Lots and lots of ice at home. No pain meds. It is still difficult to stand and sit. My swelling has gone down considerably.
Sitting and standing is eased by sliding on/off my leather recliner. Wearing loose fitting casual sleepwear. Tried going nude, but my skin stuck to the recliner which made moving more difficult. My doc said not to do anything until our appt next Friday (not tomorrow).
I learned the details of my implant after I got home and read the discharge papers. AMS 700 CX MS Pump Series. 24 cm + 2 cm RTEs x 2.4 cm (2 x 1.2 cm). I'm curious to see where I'll be sizewise.

Ken, glad to hear things went well. Did you have yours at Baylor Scott & White in Frisco? That's where mine was done. I'll be watching your progress closely since we both had the same doctor.
By the way, I asked Dr. Allen if he also did revisions and before I even got the words completely out of my mouth he had emphatically stated, "YES."

The very same hospital and doctor! Room 213? LOL. I'm not ready for a revision yet.
General Questions:
1. If you have had (or have) a problem with turtling, did your implant resolve it?
2. I have to chuckle a bit...if you hang low (long flaccid measure), do you have a problem going to the bathroom while staying out of the water? My dick is swollen from the surgery and I hate the feeling.

I was an extreme grower before implant, and could retract to a tiny glans on my abdomen under the right conditions (cold temps) but now I'm consistently about 4.5-5.0" long with a 1.0-1.25" wide glans when deflated. If I sit down with my knees up, my fat pad will still pretty much engulf my penis but I think that's normal on any guy of average size.
When inflated I'm about 5.0-5.5" (due to expansion of the accordion folds in the cylinders) but if I'm aroused, I can engorge enough to just hit 6".

I hope the results of my implant is the same--from a grower to a shower!
My fat pad is one reason I don't take many pictures . But, I'm working on it.

I got to thinking my estimate of glans size was probably in error since I typed it without a measuring tape, on the fly. My glans size is 1.75-2.0" wide (left to right), and about 1.5" from top to bottom. I just broke out the measuring tape and said, "WOW, I was way off!" The length estimates are fairly accurate though.

Re: Joined the Bionic Brotherhood
I wrote this today in response to a PM. I've left the parts that apply to a general audience.
Implanted Apr 12, discharged Apr 13. Because my wife gave up driving a few years ago, I had to drive to the pharmacy the day I came home to pick up two meds Dr Allen gave me. It's just a little over a mile, but it was very, very uncomfortable
I drove last week (Tue and Thu) to pick up our granddaughter at school. It's just about 12 miles. Not too bad, but very uncomfortable.
I saw Dr Allen last Thu 22 Apr. My right scrotum was almost normal, but my left was still swollen and hard. Of course, they took me off my blood thinners before surgery. He told me to restart the thinners. They are working. Today, the left side still has some hard spots, but overall it's softer. I can feel more of the pump, but the doc says leave it alone until the hardness issue is resolved. He thinks it has set back progress a week or two.
I was expecting an implant 20 to 21 cm (around 8"). Before surgery, with that size in mind, I asked about his method for measuring and how aggressive it was. He sent back that he measured from the inside and was that aggressive enough? With that, I didn't respond.
After a phone call with the AMS rep a day or two later, I was satisfied and expecting an LGX. However, I was shocked to see CX 24 cm + 2 cm RTEs on the discharge papers. That's about 9.5"!!! not counting the RTEs, of course. He said that an LGX would have been unstable and not big enough, thus the CX. I'm very interested, of course, to see the results.
I go back go work this Wednesday. The only thing he suggested was to wear more support than my David Archy's provide. I asked if he meant a jock and he said yes. At work, I process paperwork. At the end of the night, the tote that I fill weighs from 100 to 200+ lbs. That I can lift on a normal shift, but I'll have to have someone lift if for me for a while.
BTW, the plumbing still works. The other night, my glans was very sensitive so I tested it in the shower. Yep. Works. My next appt with the doc is May 3. Report then.
